what a relief.... Behavioral science is over, im just glad Martin let me do the outline to replace the quiz i missed. it's weird to think i never had the end of the first year in sight when i started all this. **sigh** 🙁 now here we are.... reggae beach party anyone??

I was so confident I didn't check Kirk's e-mail from Friday or Thursday about directions.. doh! By the time I got back home, I had other stuff to do. I'll make it out next time.. I'll even bring my glove from home to prove it!
 
I don't know Lanny, we were able to scare up all kinds of hidden softball talent....whether our out-fielders were talking on the phone while they were actually in the outfield, or the random that showed up for the last 1.5 innings, it was Western U softball at its finest. 😀
 
Never mind the cell phone comments...as I recall...I was on the phone...made the play...and kept up with my conversation...all without skipping a beat...

NY-ers can multi-task....even if some of us are "The source of all gossip"...amazing what comes out during Korean BBQ on a Friday nite before the opening of Spiderman...

I want to get a haircut....do you think it will look nice? It has been a while...maybe we can have Suppan put it to a vote on the class website??

Someone ordered the HORNS and they came in....next thing is to watch out for the HorseHeads...amazing what turns up in the West Covina mail....

...and on a side note...tropomyosin DOES NOT interfere with the contact of myosin heads and actin monomers. 🙄 🙄

it was ok. Princess Amidala was in rare form. I'd see it again just for that. The movie wouldve been better were it not for Anakin's boo-hooo pouty antics. Mace Windu is cool... that name just spells ACTION... and ATTITUDE. I think Lucas shoulve given Samuel L. Jackson a bigger role... with more ass-kicking.
 
damn you guys that watched it already! i heard yoda kicks some ass (not the Oregon one.. hahahahha). Anyway, I went to watch Spiderman instead and I thought it was a good pick.. perhaps a little more entertaining to the average movie-goer who might not lean towards sci-fi as much. I think both movies have enough hype to get you through the whole flick though! THe last week of school begins! Bring it on EBM!

I'm back. Did you guys check out the other post about COMP? Hmmm...how come everyone seems to be avoiding that topic? Anyone at the memorial today? That was definitely an inappropriate act by Dr. Draconian today. People were still grieving and looking for closure when he asks everyone to leave. Bartlett theatre is only a few steps away. It's not like the whole class had to take a make-up exam or anything like that. Geez, what's this school coming to. I even heard the "Dean" gave someone a hard time when she mentioned dr. draconian's inappropriate actions.
What to do? What to do?
 
I hate to think I've gotten so out of touch in the last two years, but could someone explain who "Dr. Draconian" and "the Dean" are?

oops...the current Dean of COMP is Craig Lenz, D.O. ....he is relatively new I think....i don't know when he started at COMP...
 
Sorry for the confusion, but when I asked who the "Dean" was, I meant in relation to the post previous to mine. Dr. Lenz became dean I think when I was a second year.

Its just me and my "Jungle Boy" as things wind down over here...ahh gotta love that listerine commercial from 1985.
I have a weird aching to hear "The Rose"....who will I ever get to sing that for me? A red dress and dinner would make that package all too complete...I'd almost donate $100 to have that come true...

Let this be a lesson to small children everywhere......

When someone bets you to undertake races to find out the title of a one-hit wonder two days before your final (granted, yet a good one-hit wonder) from 1985 with no clues except the year it came out, run away. Fast. As far as you can. Instead of focusing on winning a bet, focus on how much the Rose really is a terrible hideous song, especially since it is the same thing over and over and over....

I don't know what is really more sad.....the fact I must know admit to this tom foolery, or that someone actually wanted to hear "The Rose" badly enough to make a wager on it......
 
Apparently the clues given were enough for the Wiley Chinese to figure out in less than a minute...so I am not quite sure what that is indicative of....(YAHOO!!!!)

Odd that you should mention the haircut.... I wonder if the nice lady that give me a trim would go to extra lengths to add some special "sparkle." I think I know someone who finds rhinestones embedded in hair appealing, he could probably hook me up with a be-dazzler with which to perform such a feat. 😛 Isn't the Be-dazzler made in NY, perhaps the Long Island vicinity..... I do know they tend to appear in that area around New Year's Eve for that stunning evening look....

From what I know, the health insurance provided by the school is not very good. So, I"m thinking about getting it from other sources. Any recommendation? Thanks.
Also, can anyone make a recommendation about the type of laptop computer to buy. I'm not too good with the computer stuffs. Thanks.

Yeah, Western's Health Ins. isn't very appealing....I didn't try it, but I have heard its not the best....so I use one with SOMA(Student Osteopathic Medical Association). They have a plan that you can join. It is more expensive than Western's, but I feel more comfortable with it, and the co-pays for office visits and prescriptions are a good deal. Also, it covers Manipulative Treatments. You can look into it when you get here. Any other questions, send me a private e-mail.

Hate to shatter those daydreaming moments of yours, but although the red dress and the singing are still tentatively on the block barring another foolish bet. But the piano is not involved yet.....so you may have to tailor the daydream until you hear otherwise.
 
Freakin A!! A chino hills resident NO more. Im packin up to fly my ass to Portland OR for some rainy day sleep. I'll probably get acosted by the guards for having my Chrome aftershave bottle on me. in anycase, im starting to wish i could start school a lot sooner than august. egad!!
