And another nice climb up the hill to my flat carrying 20+ pounds of groceries. I am starting to enjoy this little work out. (Ok, not really.)

That sucks. 🙁 When I was living in Dublin I couldn't make the oven work, but at least I had the stove.

Its ok. I am just being deprived of Mexican food, which is kind of rough considering that it was one of the main types of food I ate, but I did find some pre-cooked Mexican chicken (hopefully it is good) and I am going to throw that into a quesedilla and I can cook/heat that up in the microwave. So hopefully that will quench my thirst for Mexican for a little bit. I may have to break down and go to this Mexican restauant that I found here that is not too terribly far away. The chicken enchilida that I got last time was not too bad, they could use a little work on the rice though. 🙂

Rum and coke is always a good combo IMO. And I recently found cupcake vodka. Let me tell you, shots of that stuff was simply amazing! 😀

Vodka has gotten me in the most trouble in the past, so I feel like Black Russians are probably the fastest way to get drunk enough to write. 🙂

I'm going to have to follow suit to do more of my PS. I just read through it again after a week off and want to cry. It's so so horrible.

I am sure it is not horrible wildcat. I understand your pain though. I need to write an intro before I can start editing. I am way over the 5000 character limit and have to do some heavy handed editing. Hopefully mine isn't bad, but I know it is.

On holiday with my dag in Galway..... we took the train across Ireland, arrived in the afternoon, then spent the rest of the day walking along the ocean in Salthill... now we are relaxing in the B&B

I'm sure it's not horrible. Perhaps it needs some work, but you can get it to a good place.

I don't know how I missed this, but I'm totally in the same boat. I haven't been able to find good tortillas anywhere!

I think I probably should just start sending it to lots of people and getting tons of input. Right now I've only had my parents look at it and I think I need some vetty people to do it. I just feel like it's personal and so lame that it makes me nervous. But I better get my butt into gear or people in the PS reader thread aren't going to have time to read once school starts!

Setting up to make an international transfer between my bank accounts and I am terrified that it may not be set up completely correct. I don't want to make more than one transfer because I get charged a 19 pound fee on this end and a $23 fee on the US end. I just want to make on huge transfer of all the money that I will need to pay my US credit cards and some money to pay back my sister for the deposit for school. As well as leaving some money for my parents to get my cat food and other supplies. It would suck though to send this one large sum of money and then find out that it was not set up properly and that my money is now in some weird other account in New Zealand or something. Why do I think these things?

Don't know if it will help in future, but I used citibank for my overseas mutlicurrency account, and then set up a citibank FSB account in the u.s. and there was no fee for transfers among the accounts. I would just translate the foreign currency to USD overseas and then wire the $$ to my u.s. account. Unfortunately they are still different entities though.

I think it would be rather difficult to set up a citibank account in the US currently.. 😉

Maybe I will look into this in the future. I just got done closing out about 3 or 4 bank accounts in the US (Wells Fargo had me set up a bunch of travel accounts before I left) and finally successfully getting my bank accounts and student loan money situated here. It would be nice to not have any fees though so I will check into it, thanks. I also have yet to see a citibank in Edinburgh. 🙁

Holyrood isn't too far about 30 minutes depending on if the bus goes through city center or not on the way there.

I was incredibly mad that I stayed up to watch it. It is not going to last past five episodes in my opinion. 😡👎
 
On a train headed back to Dublin.... My dag did not take to the whole staying in an unknown environment very well and for the past 2 nights has kept me up all night pacing in the b&b room. I am exhausted. Next time I need to rent a car as there is not much to do in Galway city with a dog need to be able to venture to the outer lying areas. Oh wells. Decided to head back a day early to save my sanity and ensure I sleep tonight.

Yeh, I didn't find it very funny or very captivating. I'll probably watch one more episode to see if it gets better, but we'll see
 
Today at the clinic I am painting. Not anything vet related. Painting stalls.
 
Currently, nothing. Not a danged thing. I have LOTS of things I need to get done. I am doing none of them. I should change this. OK, in 1 hour I will get up and go do laundry, then go to the farm and pick veggies.

*looks at clock*

3 hours have passed since I said this to myself. 🙄

I am editing photos from the Dublin Horse Show, listening to music, trying to decide whether to buy a blender on groupon, fecking around on SDN, and may have to pour a drink soon.....
 
I need to buy a TV because I am having TV/phone/internet installed on September 13th. 😀

I was looking on Amazon and found a 22 inch widescreen full HD LED TV with Freeview and a built in DVD player for 129.99 pounds...

Does that seem like a good deal? I could get a 19 inch TV for 99.99 pounds with freeview and built in DVD player.

Yeah, rain makes it not so great. But it was still really cool! I saw a bunch of Connemara ponies (so cute!) and a "master class" thing on training National Hunt horses to find distances to jumps.
 
Looking out at this GORGEOUS day and wondering why I am sitting on my butt inside. 🙄 I should go for a walk. Really. I should. Come on brain. Let's go! You want to watch a movie, you say? Well.....OK! Let's compromise. I'll keep the door open!
