What the heck are the other sci classes then, i know math makes sense but what else.

Thanks guys.

I think the other science classes are classes like computer science, engineering, math, etc..

I was actually shocked to see this as well........ 😱 Help everyone what are "other science" classes? I have always been under the impression that AADSAS calculates a "Science Cum". This however is not the case. I had a BCP CUM and "other science" cum.

Do dental schools primarly just look at your BCP and total Cum?????

I think calculatingevery freaking tid bit of your science gpa is worthless. It seems like it would make the process more confusing for adcomm's. I can see it now..."after averaging your 37 calculated GPA's we've come to the conclusion that you shoud take more chem classes to raise you CGPA, and also maybe a few physics classes to raise your PGPA." Freaking joke.

Overall GPA (AKA CUM for cumulative GPA): All classes; the overall GPA
Science GPA (AKA Sci GPA): Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, Math, CS, etc.
Other-Science GPA (AKA Other-Sci GPA): only Engineering, Math, CS, etc.
BCP: only Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
B: only biology
C: only chemistry
P: only physics
Non-science GPA: everything aside from the Science GPA

Thanks for the overly detailed explanation. Everything is correct except a Science GPA does not exist on AADSAS this year only BCP and "Other".

You see what I'm saying? This is outrageously trivial and pointless. There are 7 (possibly 8) GPA's that they will be looking at! Why not break down the GPA for every subject that you take, like a Humanities HGPA, a Social Science SSGPA, and maybe even and Area Studies ASGPA? Then we will really be able to see who is the most qualified applicant.
