oh I forgot.. I got an acceptance call on Monday from UMaryland SOM...🙂
 
oh and I finally got rejected from Hopkins yesterday! snail mail.
 
i got some housing information from U of Illinois. Urbana living expenses are going to be SUPER cheap compared to what I pay now.

I received an Albany acceptance email today. That was the last school I figured that I would get into after a terrible interview. First acceptance woohoo!

Congrats! May I ask, when did you interview? I interviewed on 3/29 and they said we would be notified in two weeks. I am starting to think my chances are over....🙁

finally got my rejection letter from jefferson on saturday!

still never got anything from miami.
 
A few days ago (Friday maybe?) received a waitlist notification from PSU.

Looks like it's more waiting and more uncertainty for me.
 
Didn't know where to post this bit of news: SLU is still interviewing for open spots. Some of us waiting for interviews should hear in the next week to two weeks.

Hey,

SLU recently (a week ago??) sent me an e-mail with a link to their financial services page that has a list of scholarships available along with basic financial info. I haven't gotten anything specific financial aid-wise, but in that e-mail they did say they were going to send out a more comprehensive info packet in June.
Also, on the SLU website under 'Student Resources' there's a link to their housing website, with reviews of the most popular places students are currently living, along with a link to their housing 'forum' where students can post for open rooms/roommates/etc.

I called the admissions office on Friday. Anyways, I got a pre-interview rejection from SLU yesterday (e-mail) and one from MCW (regular mail) today. Ouch!

Post-interview rejection from AECOM 🙁 and pre-interview rejection from SUNY Buffalo.. You know I am a NY resident and I got no love from the schools in NY.. I applied to every single school in NY and Im waitlisted at U of Rochester and thats my number 1.. But NJ had love for me 🙂 so thats good.. Well I have one more school to hear from and then the cycle is over for me.. Good Luck:luck:

Congrats. This seems to be a great time to be on SDN. Did anyone here get accepted to their top choice? Well, getting accepted somewhere. ...I guess, that's all that matters.

Post interview rejection from my only remaining chance, NYMC. (interviewed Jan 30, rejection came via mail) Ultimate depression is setting in. I never would have imagined that this would all go so badly. Now I'm trying to accept the fact that I'm going to a DO school, not my first choice.

I get these all the time now from different branches of the military. One would THINK they wouldn't waste paper on recruiting students from a non-violence left-wing pinko commie Quaker school? 😕 Guess we're not big enough to be worth blacklisting. I think I should tell the mailroom to start trashing them.
 
Got the call from my interviewer at UC Davis yesterday. I got in!!!!!

(I was a mid-february interview)

Thanks for the congrats emilie and Dr.Nick!!! emilie, as of now, it is definitely where I plan to go (granted it is my only acceptance, but whatever! lol). I was really impressed by the place, and it means I get to go back home to California/the Bay Area. Are you headed to davis?
 
I just got home after a 2 week vacation, so LOTS.

First off, the alumni magazine from my alma mater. Ironic considering I was there for all of last week.

Second, bunch of bills from my cellphone/internet company with ridiculous amounts that I will have to call and discuss.

Third, a notice from my car insurance company that my payment bounced (yeah, I knew that, *****s, which is why I called and asked if I could pay by credit card, and you said NO) and that if I don't pay IMMEDIATELY, my entire remaining coverage will be due (I have like 3 or 4 more months till this insurance policy expires). That was dated April 23rd. I'm laying low with this one since I won't have the $ to pay them till the 10th.
 
A TDaP and Menactra vaccine.
