Does it mean they are willing to overlook a low gpa and/or pcat score and will base your acceptance solely on the interview? Or will they still take into account the gpa and pcat scores?

Well first off, getting an interview means that you've bypassed the initial mass rejection so the school has taken notice of you in some way, shape or form. I would have to say that they will keep in mind of your GPA and PCAT scores and see if you are who you say you are.

I wouldn't be surprised if a high GPA/PCAT candidate has more leeway on how well they do on an interview as opposed to a low GPA/PCAT candidate. That's not to say that an exceptionally strong candidate can bomb the interview and still be accepted.

If an interviewer's first impression is "herpaderp derp" with their eyes crossed while ripping a huge fart that makes Mother Nature turn her nose up, no amount of application awesomeness can save you.

Ok thanks, now having said that is it unheard of to call a school to request an interview and actually get one? Or any other way to get an interview aside from their selection and matriculation agreements?

Invitations to interview are sent to those candidates showing the highest potential to perform well at Touro University as students, and finally as successful pharmacists.

There is no other means to get an interview. You send in your application and pray each night for that special email or letter.

Our school did a study on the selection process and the results indicated that GPA was a better predictor of success compared to the interview. Thought that was interesting. 🙂
(Its actually very true when I apply it to my classmates).

My school sent out interview invites based on PCAT scores then let the admissions committee do their thing. Wait listed candidates were preferenced by math/science GPA.

Well, it means you suck less than the other applicants
