What happens on my referees end? How do they submit a letter? And is "sent" right away?

Hey guys, I have a few questions about LORs

When I add my referee to Evaluators section, what happens on their end? I understand they get an email...is it just a link to upload a letter?

And if so, once they "upload" it, is it "sent" right away? So that is, the minute they click send, (and I've e-submitted), and everything else is in, is my application complete at that point? Or are there a certain number of days we have to wait?

Also, how would they "sign" it, if it's electronic? Are they expected to do an electronic signature?

Once you add the evaluator, they get an email with instructions and once they submit the letter it's instantly uploaded and you get an email that the letter was uploaded. For signature, your evaluator has to print out the document and sign it then scan it back in or if they have a way to add signature electronically.
