What happens? Waitlist to rejection? Or waitlist until its too late anyway?

Hey Everyone,

I'm waitlisted at couple of schools. If they never accept me, will they send me a rejection letter? Or will I just never know until I assume its over come this August? Will I forever be in limbo?

Thoughts?

Specifically, I'm waitlisted at AECOM, Georgetown, and GWU. I have been accepted already to another school, but am also interested in these. Thanks.
