Hi everyone

I was wondering if it was possible to get all the required pre-dental subjects (Bio, chem org and gen, phys, maths) and credits at a CC and then apply for a Dental course? instead of going to a university??

Just wondered if it was possible.

cheers

I think you can do that. But be careful to some schools that don't really accept CC credits.

You'd have a hard time finding a dental school that will accept you with no university work and no upper level sciences.

While possible, dental admissions has gotten so competitive that not having a degree and upper level coursework would put you at a huge disadvantage compared to all of the other applicants.

I'd say if you got a 24-25AA, and did really well in your pre-reqs, you might stand a chance.

As im a international graduate, i did a 3yr BSc in Biomedical Science and specialized in Craniofacial Science for my third year at Kings College London.

I emailed the private ds and most of them replied by saying that i would have to do 1 yr in a US college/uni to aquired the pre-dental subjects. Then do the DAT and apply to ds's.

Does anyone recommend a respected college/uni that also accepts international graduate students from London??

Cheers x
