What is considered early and late to be complete at schools like Duke, Vandy?

I'm wondering essentially what range of dates is considered early to be complete, with both primary and secondary received, at schools in general, and in particular, at Vanderbilt, my top choice school. I'm also wondering when it starts to be considered late.

It's more about having great stats and impressive ECs at those schools than applying very early. Just aim to be complete by the end of August.

Duke is non-rolling and therefore weights your application against all others before rendering a decision. I know people who interviewed late in the cycle and still were granted admission.
