Im doing usmle notes and even though I study about 7-8 hours per day I only seem to be finishing appx 6 chapters/day (along w/ making notes)

What is your speed when it comes to studdying?

I feel like a ****** thinking that Ive only done 6 chapters ( 30 pages) in 7 hrs.....

do you guys feel that making notes helps at the end or is it a total waste of time??

Any advice ?😡

I plan on taking the exam april 15th...at this speed do you think I can make it?

its more important that you understand what you read rather than measuring it with the time spent!so dont worry...ur doing fine

making notes is a very intelligent way of reading...in the end,you wont have time to revise..and the more you revise,the better.

u dont u try usmle videos with the notes ,they make studying so easier,
i finished biochem ,physio .micro,path each in 2 days flat

I dont know about wasting time...........but you can do that because you have the time until April.

Making notes while studying is good way of learning things.According to me its not waistage of time.These notes will help u when u will review.Good luck 👍

i am also doing USMLE notes,my speed is even slower than you,what i believe is that first reading and making notes always takes time but once you are finished u revisions will b no problem for you,i think its all about how much you retain and recall on the day of exam...if u put in time and retain the stuff its worth it,you are doing good i am slower than you..i guess i better speed up..lolz

I used the video lectures to help me 'concentrate' because I was retaking the exam and it was really hard for me to concentrate the 2nd time. If you have enough material to study then I wouldnt spend any more money on videos. Videos take a LONG time and can/may feel like time wasted. At the end everyone has their own study methods and routine that works for them. Just find your method and stick to it. I also noticed that making my own notes helped me ALOT when it came to reviewing last minute. Good luck!

I m a new member.Ialso make my own notes.Ihave studied from decks and make my own notes now I m revising its really easy.Don't ever think that u r waisting time always think that what's ur main motive is ?Ur main motive is to score good .always b sure Slow n steady wins the race.
I have one question from u that other than studies what other things we have to keep in mind on the day of exam.As you r giving second time U can tell what all mistakes we can avoid.
