What mode is a transcutaneous pacemaker in?

As in using a Lifepak to pace? That would be DOO wouldn't it? I don't think there is a classification for whole heart pacing maybe it should be WOO 😀

If you mean pacing with transcutaneous pacing wires then it can be anything from AOO to VOO to DDD all depending on how many wires they place and where they go.

I thought DOO at first as well. But on thinking about it wouldnt that mean separate loci one atrial and one vent. I mean when you pace with a box in dual mode you are using two separate wires. Now from a cutaneuos surface, I would think the heart surface more toward the skin is where the event would initiate from which would be r vent. Especially since your paddles/pads are oriented that way. Maybe Im over thinking it. lol my typical mistake on boards.
