What schools DRUG TEST incoming students?

I heard that mount sinai does--and I was wondering if anyone had any info on other schools. Do they have to tell you in advance if they do?

Not sure if many schools test you so early in your medical school career, but I would think it would be prudent of most places to have you drug tested prior to letting you prescribe or handle drugs. As for telling you in advance, I doubt they are going to just hand you a cup at orientation. Most likely they will give you a form to get signed, and give you a list of authorized places you can go to get tested -- that's what happens when you work for a pharmaceutical firm.

I haven't heard of any that do. I

have known a few students who encountered academic problems due to marijuana & alcohol use though. The pace and lifestyle doesn't really match with recreational drug use. If you're a user, its a good idea to look at quiting before you start school.
