Hey guys,

I was wondering when do you know that you are fully ready to take the DAT say your target score is a 20AA should you be averaging this score on boot camp to know your ready for the actual thing. Please I feel its killing me on the inside not knowing if I am ready or not.

I feel I can only envision failure as the end goal its getting really rough so much time and effort being put and you never know what can happen. Im overwhelmed and that has never happened to me before

Just believe in the amount of time and effort you put into studying. If you work hard, chances are you'll be fine. Don't let your nerves get to you.

I did horrible on the practice tests but came out like a champ at the end of the test.

Hello! I just took my DAT 2 days ago so I definitely know how it feels like to be in your shoes. My advice would just be to try your best to calm your nerves and do some light review of the concepts you struggled w/ the most or don't remember quite as well (esp for bio because the breadth of the material it covers is truly enormous). Do something relaxing the day before your exam and when the day comes, just give it your best shot. My goal was also a 20AA minimum and I ended up getting a 22AA, although I did worse on the practice exams. I also wished that I had practiced more PAT before my exam because I ended up running out of time on the real thing, but it really depends how confident you feel for PAT as well. I wish you the best of luck!!!

If you can score well on the 2009 DAT and you're satisfied with that score, you'll be fine 🙂

You never really know. Trust in yourself and believe that you will do well. Preparation is obviously a MUST but you never know if you're going to get a 19 or a 22 honestly. Bio could just be a random mess, you could lose focus during RC and QR...Well, it's QR. PRAY and go hard!!!

If you can at least score a 19 on every subject in bootcamp I'd say you are ready.

Haha I just saw this lol! Please keep me in your dua iA hopefully all goes well.

Yeah, I'd take Ari's advice. When you either
A: have scores close to those you want (20+s) in all categories on practice tests, or
B: are more excited about getting it over with (exhausted from studying/practicing) than you are nervous about it.

Fortunately I was close to both of those.

I was averaging 16-18 on BC a few days before my exam and I ended up with everything above a 19+. You'll know you are ready when you feel like you are excited to take it and get it over with!

How did you do on your 2007 DAT practice exam though? I'm nervous my exam is this Thursday, and I do okay on BC similar to you 17-20+ but I'm super nervous because i did really bad on the 2007 DAT
