I am confused as to whether it is in Ferritin in the liver or in Macrophages in the Bone marrow. Thanks!

Normally? (RBCs/blood, bone marrow, spleen, liver)

Iron-def anemia? (not sure that storage sites are any different, etiology of Fe deficiency can affect storage sites differently tho..)

Anemia of Chronic Disease? "locked up" in macrophages (2nd to IL-6/hepcidin effects)
