I was recently accepted to Drexel's MSP program and the new Rutgers Master's in biomedical sciences program. I am currently also waiting to hear from New York Medical College's Interdisciplinary Masters, Boston MAMS, and Toledo MSBS. As someone who's ultimate goal is obviously to get into medical school upon completion of a program I just want to gather as much info as possible. This is more tricky to do with the Rutger's program, considering it is new and most of the info online is from when the degree was through UMDNJ. I know Drexel has a good reputation, but I also wonder if I'd be at a disadvantage doing their MSP program as opposed to their IMS program. My MCAT score was a 25, so I'm aware that I will have to take it again to have a shot at getting into a school, and my science GPA is hovering at around a 2.8 (chem and Ochem). However, I did take the MCAT almost 2 years ago and have taken several upper level biology courses since then, which I have done well in. I wonder if it is time to stop trying to increase my science GPA and instead just focus on doing well in a Master's Program? Are there any programs that I should definitely rule out? Any that I should definitely consider (bearing in mind that right now I only have a guaranteed "Yes" from Drexel and Rutgers)? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
