I am having a hard time deciding between the two. To apply and do the MPH or go to PA school. I thought this would be a good resource to find out how or why people choose MPH. So what made you go this route?

one invalid answer i have is that because most people working in my career projection have an MPH degree.. and the program is interdepartmental, you will get all aspects of public health under the core course, yet have the opportunity to focus on selected concentrations.. it's a mixture of jack-of-all-trades and a specialist build just enough skills and education to get you to that public health position

true to that.. i worked as a medical doctor, curing diarrheas and skin disorders that keep on recurring.. why? because the patient have no access to clean water and sanitation... how would you expect to cure that person if he still defecate, do laundry, and bathe on the same river.. that is why i want to put more emphasis to public health intervension

I've always been interested in health, but never wanted to be an MD/nurse. I wanted something where I could work with large populations and I love how public health is an interdisciplinary field, allowing me not to limit my studies, and at the same time allowing me to work with so many different populations.

Why pick just one or the other?
