Seems you should send that kind of letter to the ones who rejected you, as in "look what you missed."

First, let me take the time to let you know that this was a very competetive cycle. I interviewed at many top facilities throughout the country. I was accepted at all of them. Unfortunately I cannot accept all of the spots. I may be a perfect genius, but that cannot will me to be in more than one place at once. You ended up falling short on my list of schools to attend.
