I'm in a sticky situtation and was hoping I could get some help, as my advisors don't really seem too confident.
I'm a college freshman, and am taking a 6 credit hour honors class which is a mixture of english/history/art/philosophy, and because of various factors out of my control, am getting a C. Almost half of the points possible have been covered. How would medical schools view it if I withdrew from this class? I'm taking 18 credit hours and my midterm grades are:
Multivariable Calc: A
Calc Based Stats: A
Intro Bio + Lab: A
Honors Class (mentioned above): C
This is 6 credit hours so it would pretty much let me only get a 3.36 or something like that, according to my counselor. Would medical frown if I withdrew from the honors class, and then took regular classes second semester? Or am I trapped? Remember, I'm not an English person, and am doubtful I'll get a higher than a C+? Is withdrawing a possiblity? Thanks in advance for the help.
