I just wanted to know if the actual schools call the references you put on the application for verification purposes or what not...my concern is that most of my experience was gained overseas and my supervisors cannot be reached and I lost contact with others. Does the admission commity actually call these people???

I doubt most committees have any time to do such things, unless the job description on your application is so ridiculous.

I heard that one applicant claimed to have helped in the diagnosis and medical management of patients in the hospital where he volunteered. He was obviously embellishing, and the committee decided to give the place a call just to find out what he did. Needless to say it wasn't anywhere near playing doctor. [IMG]
