All of hte osteopathic medical schools provide their students with preceptor mentors abroad. As far as I know, American-trained D.O.s can apply for abroad licensure the same as AMerican-trained M.D.s, with limitations equal to both physicians. (American D.O.s and M.D.s obtain the same license to practice medicine and surgery; there is no distinction in the license based on the academic degree earned). The best source for information is the American Osteopathic Association - www.aoa-net.org
I know of osteopathic physicians working thorughout Europe, South and Central America, Canada and other places. Each country imposes license limitations in general. Chances are that if you have trouble going over, it is because you are an American physician, and not necessarily a D.O.
