I've been studying for the DAT for a month or so, while working and stuff. I think I'm decent in most sections besides RC. I've been in the U.S. for almost 8 years and with English not being my first language, I'm worried that RC will be the deciding score for me. I've taken some practice tests and honestly I suck at RC. I've heard of a few techniques, like search and destroy, which i think can be hit or miss, or reading half of the passage then use search n destroy on the rest. Anyway, not sure which one works better, and I'm quickly running out of material to figure it out. What do you guys think is a good technique to use. Anybody else with English being their second language that did well on the RC? Any help is appreciated.

IMHO, the kaplan method is the best method... S&D can be quite dangerous as you may find yourself presented with more than a few tone questions which you really cant s&d. I suggest quickly skimming through the passage while jotting down key words; quickly is the key term, you dont wanna take ur time and spend 15 mins reading a passage. Its been working ok for me so far, been getting 20-23 on rc practices. Gluck to you

Yea s&d can be dangerous with scientific passages. I'll def try to perfect the kaplan method. Thanks 🙂 GL to you too bro.
