Hey fellow WSU interviewees!
So I just had my interview today (IS), and it went pretty well! The interviewers were great, and the interview itself was very laid back. They really just want to know you, so be yourself. (You'll hear that a million times when you're here, and it's really true!) They really just asked me q's about my application and my experiences. we know in 2 weeks!!! ahhhhhh
The staff and students were EXTREMELY welcoming and friendly, and the facilities are awesome. The fellow in-state interviewees are extremely nice too! Besides a couple that were just really nervous and/or didn't want to socialize. We got to sit in the lecture classes so be sure to make use of that opportunity to see how it feels like.
A couple suggestions I have:
-- It is snowing, as I type, now in Pullman. I had bought a flight into Pullman, but it diverted into Lewiston, which is pretty common. It's okay, though b/c it's only about 45mins -1hr drive. BUT, be prepared to find your own transportation!!! The airline will not try to arrange ANYTHING for you! It was extremely irritating. There are car rentals, but since I didn't know the area very well, me and two others took a taxi. AND LET ME TELL YOU -- this taxi was horrid! DO NOT TAKE THE ABC TAXI. he shows up in a dented, 70yr old vehicle, stops at a red light and then proceeds to run the red light, stops at a gas station and then turns the engine ON while the gas was running. we made it safely, and he was a nice guy -- but he was totally creepy and very sketch.
-- The Quality Inn is awesome. They provide a free shuttle to/from airport and to/from the campus (which is only like 5 min car ride away). They have awesome breakfast, the rooms are amazing -- I had a microwave, fridge, safe, tv, and two beds (even though I traveled alone) LOL. oh and free wi-fi.
ok, well good luck everyone!!! just relax, WSU is amazing!!
