tufts, Lankenau, Lehigh. Also heard through grapevine that ucsf hasn't offered any yet, not sure how accurate. Oh and northwestern rejection.
 
Anonymous invites: UVA, Penn State Hershey, Jefferson, and Lehigh Valley. Not sure of the dates.
 
Thanks for organizing the thread indsha008!

Also, NW is a great program but I remember their invitations were somewhat random for internal medicine and I had a lot of friends who got invited to really great IM programs only to get declined at NW. They're probably looking for a specific fit.

I think they're looking for fellows from their own residency program (look at the educational experience of their current fellows), much like how Harvard's fellowship programs only invited those who go to their affiliated residency programs.

This might sound very ignorant of me but what are we trying to accomplish here? keeping a track of invites? I spoke to a fellow here at NCI and he said their program sends out multiple invites at different times during the season. I'm guessing other programs work that way too.

Another dry day. I don't understand what are the expectations?

Should I have published paradigm shifting clinical research after 3 years of examining the intracellular mechanisms of hormonal therapy resistance in mice?

It gives us an idea of how the season is starting -peaking- ending , for people(IMGs) next year the stars give an idea of which programs should be on their list, and lastly, most programs send the vast majority of thier invitations on the first batch, second batches are for cancellations. NCI is actually not very typical, i know UTHSCSA does the same. How helpful is it? This is the database, applications are upto those who chose to analyse :p ... but i believe in accurate data entry haha... best of luck to all..

It's the calm before the storm, Pertuzumab. I talked to our fellowship PD and he said, it takes considerable time to review applications before sending out invites (all while they continue their lives in clinic/inpatient/etc). The big push of invites will come soon. You've got at least one, more will come. Stay calm and believe.

Hang in there man. This process seems a bit random in general.
 
After speaking to several fellows, the 'storm' will begin towards the end of August/early September and the weather should remain overcast with occasional torrential rains until mid-late September. By first week of October majority of the interviews will be sent out. By November we'll have a fairly good idea about our chances in terms of the match (program feedback with two way love letters etc). And December 2nd is the judgement. If not this year then next year!
 
Waiting for something positive today. This has been excruciating so far. No IV

Another week and no interviews yet. This is getting super fustrating.
 
We have 47 invites. Last year at this point it was 41. I still expect a few late ones to roll in today so we're a little ahead of schedule compared to last year. We may just have more people watching or people applying more broadly as well. Open the floodgates... please.

Now the stars are all messed up! Somebody should take charge of updating it every day or else it's gonna be a hot mess soon. Others can let that person know if any changes need to be made.
