Star WWars III Game Thread

The hunt for the Rebel Alliance used to be of small concern among the Senate and the Empire. What could a group as small as them do against the large, united front of the Empire? Let them take the malcontents and exhaust themselves against the strength of our Stormtroopers, TIE fighters, and Star Destroyers.

Well, it turns out that those Rebels can do quite a bit of damage. They recently obtained the plans for the newly constructed Death Star military base, showing an unexpectedly high degree of cunning and resources. While the situation has not been acknowledged publicly, those among the Senate have been briefed of the danger. The Rebels have shown that they may very well be strong enough to topple the Empire if left unopposed.

It has been decided that Emperor Palpatine will retreat from the public eye in order to stay safe from the Rebels. No one could tolerate losing our wise ruler. However, the Senate and the Empire still need a visible leader. That choice of a leader now rests on you.

Apathetic Reluctant Loyal Citizens of the Empire, it is time to stand up to the Rebels! Act now to preserve the Empire!

Lupin or I will probably move people around as groups shrink. You don't get to move yourself like in the Immuno game.

Do you have the Despecialised editions of 'A New Hope' 'The Empire Strikes Back' and "Return Of The Jedi'? (if not, you NEED to get them!!!).

Apart from my (albeit small, but very lovingly collected) Kenner figures above, I also had one of the original toy lightsabers, still in working condition -- until my Mum decided to lend it to one of my second cousins, without bothering to ask me, and he completely wrecked it.

Do you have the Hungry Jack's (Burger King) Collector Edition glasses as well? Those were awesome!

Well I personally hated the prequels, but I know Padme Amidala was Anakin Skywalker's wife/lover (Anakin who later became Darth Vader, after Darth Sidious became his Jedi Master for the Dark Side of the Force, and Darth Sidious became the Emperor, who was also originally the Emperor Palpatine - tl;dr, Padme is Leia and Luke Skywalker's mother and is presumably on the side of good). In the sequels (or the original films, as I call them) the Rebel Alliance were the good guys because they were fighting against an evil Empire that was going around blowing up entire planets with their Deathstar and generally being d!cks to all and sundry.

Well The rebel alliance I think is referring to the original trilogy rebels. I would also guess more main characters would be used as well: Leia, Luke, Han, Chewy?, Obi-wan, Yoda, r2d2, c3p0, Lando, or more general roles of the x-wing fighter pilots, rogue squadron, etc. Bobba Fett is probably chaos being bounty hunter and all.. But I mean Lando could be as well..

I feel like the people are probably pretty good ideas of who would be one, especially versus people important in the prequels since this is supposed to be based on the original trilogy stuff.

Hmm what happened there? Okay so maybe not going to have a repeat Bobba Fett character. Maybe Lando? Maybe even Darth Vader chaos... Empire leaning for most of the game, but wins with rebels? I don't know if that works in WW but if we're basing off all three original trilogy.

Connection is so far so good for the past couple of days, digits crossed I think whatever was causing the error connection reset messages has been resolved.

But to be honest I think Jilary would make a better Emperor than me, because she knows the entire series a lot better. I know the original movies, but I'm not a fan of the prequels so there'll be gaps in knowledge from me there. The Sci-Fi geek in me is squeeing with delight at the thought of being Emperor, but the WW player, who is thinking what's best for the Village, is saying 'Use the force, Ceke, trust in Jilary'.

Interesting idea (totally agree that R2d2 doesn't get the respect/ praise it deserved). So if we don't eliminate droids, that increases the number of identities that wolves *could* be. I'm trying to think of other characters who could be wolf as well

Well yes there was the Death Star Droid (first seen, if I recall correctly, when C3P0 and R2D2 were taken to be traded by the Jawas. But there was also R2D2, C3P0 (both vital to the rebel cause, in my opinion, R2 especially) and of course the Rebel Allied Medical Droids, such as the Fx7 Medical Droid.
