don't do it...i tried this tactic last night, and let me tell you - waiting for your score while feeling kinda crappy from the night before is not fun. it just adds to the nervous quesiness i already feel.

the 8/07 ppl didnt get their scores until at least a day later then when they were supposed to.

From what i read on their forum if tis not up by 6...it doesnt look too good for today, they close their offices at 6pm.

Last time i checked my scores 2 weeks after they came out. I was out of state and didnt have internet, so i was spared this anxiety...i ended up doing better then expected, hopefully the same happens this time around

to the aamc people :mad::mad::mad::mad:

keep hope alive, good luck everyone!!!:luck::luck::luck::luck::luck::luck:

Can anyone verify scores being posted after 5:30 or 5:00 (whenever the MCAT office closes)? If so by what time were they posted?

If this has happened before, there is a chance for us today. If not, here's to waiting for tomorrow!

They better release the score today or tomorrow because "The MCAT Resource Center will be closed on Thursday, September 25th and Friday, September 26th as our staff prepares for registration opening for 2009 MCAT testing."

BTW, their opening hours are "Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. ET"

To the best of my knowledge, no, scores have not been posted significantly after 5pm.

I just talk to them, and the guy said that he hasn't heard anything about scores being released today. Sorry guys...

All right I am heading out for the night. I will check again later tonight, but I think we might have to hope/wait for tomorrow. Good luck to all of us!

Didn't know anything? I bet he did...its a conspiracy.

I did a little digging. This is from a thread back in 2007

I just spoke with a very nice representative from AAMC. She said that from what she was hearing the scores would likely be released either by midnight tonight, or more likely, early tomorrow morning. But that they are still hoping for a release tonight. All of the scores are released at once for the test date.
So maybe there is still hope?

It's 6:11 EST and nothing, so I'm guessing today's a no go.

Stand down fellow MCATers, the big moment has been postponed.

I would Not take that person's response very seriously. AMCAS releasing scores at mid night would just be CRAZYYYY..I cant imagine an MCAT representative telling some one "oh yea check at mid night, that's when we will send them out". I dont know-- but i just find that verRYYY unrealistic.

I would check tommorrow morning guys if you guys dont get them today.

They say that you should get your scores between 30 to 35 days from the time the test was taken.

hey guys as the above poster said, it's highly unlikely that they would delay it more than a day or two.

Moreover, since the office will be closed due to their preparations for 2009 administrations on thursday and friday, i'm willing to bet tomorrow during the day...at some point...we will have our scores.

Not to ruin your happy thoughts, but one time the scores were released a week late. It was either last August or January, one of the two. And yes, the scores were released super late at night because they stayed late several days working on it. They actually posted on the Thx page that they were hoping to release by midnight. My test score was in that batch.

What happy thoughts are you talking about??? Every time amcas delays scores, no one is happy. Its not good for the process. That statement is
Inappropriate.

Whoaaaa. Chill, man.

I'm really, really hoping for tomorrow. I'm also really, really hoping that this delay in the process will mix my sub 30 score with someone's 35+ score, hah.

This month+ delay in scores is the reason they should get rid of the writing section. I mean, no school really gives a damn about the writing portion anyway.

Wow, lighten up man. My comment was in response to people saying there is no way it would be released more than a couple of days late. In my situation, that was very optomistic. Our scores were released over the weekend, late at night. Actually, on a Saturday night. In reality, we don't know what AAMC does or will do. The date set is TENTATIVE. I think your response was "Inappropriate." I am sorry if you took offense to my comment, it was sarcastic.

i agree. i used some of my writing sample as an extra break though, so i kind of liked it :).

i must have misunderstood you. I thought that word was intented for me. I apologize as well.

Goodluck to everyone, i hope all of you guys get your scores tommorrow.

Anyone else here take it in California....I took it in Van nuys....WHy is the scores delaying????????...........GRRRRRR!!!!!!.....its not like I did fantastic anyway......

Who knows maybe they mesed up and gave everyone a 33 and above.....wooohoo!!!! I'd be happy with a 30 right about now.......

Hopefully they got them tomorrow or else my whole week is going to be messed up

I talked to my pre-med adviser this evening, and she said that we would not be receiving our scores until tomorrow, per an email from AAMC (she is registered with AAMC as a nationally accredited pre-med adviser, and therefore must have the inside track on such information). Keep checking tonight, if you would like (I probably still will!!), but that is just what she received from the MCAT authorities. However, just after midnight is still considered "tomorrow," so here's hoping for that...

Try and keep your sanity tonight, and good luck to you all when you get your scores... Whenever that may be...

Good luck to all :luck:

great...looks like i will be checking at midnight tonight. There's no way i can chill until i know it wasn't released at midnight. :(

i havent been able to get any work done because of this... they need to post scores soon so i can stop checking every 10 mins :(

I know exactly how you feel. I have an analytical chemistry exam at 11:00 (EST), but I can't seem to stop hitting refresh every two minutes. Ahh!!

AAHhh..I know! How do they want us to have high GPA's with this torture??? hehehe

What possible explanation could there be to delay the scores? We had only one administration and it wasn't exactly a popular exam date. The least they could do is add 2 complimentary points to our scores. Just saying....

hahaha, i agree!!! 2 pts on each section! hehehe

hey guys this is the official word on score release

I called this morning at 9:32 eastern time...an "mcat specialist" told me that the scores will be released TODAY.

Feel free to call the MCAT office yourselves to confirm this, but this is verbatim what the guy told me.

Good luck everybody.

 It is probably because of having so many test dates in August and September. However, I am sure we will get them today. Good luck everyone!

im gonna go out on a limb here and predict that the new scores will be released around 1:30 PST (4:30 EST).

i have absolutely no reasoning behind assuming this time of day...this is just for my own amusement at this point.
