1. Confirmation from AADSAS last week #277 (submitted May 25th, I got my transcripts in earlier, but LOR's I sent in early June)

2. AADSAS sent my application packet to my 7 schools on June 22 (they said it was the third mailing).

3. Received a status letter from Columbia about a week ago, saying that they had everything but my letters of Recommendation. (AADSAS says that this year sometimes letters and transcripts are sent in separate mailings)
 
Guys, if I were you, I wouldnt post my AADSAS number. Adcoms browse these threads sometimes, and if you say something bad about their school, they'll see it and may hold it against you.

Hey guys...I just received my AADSAS confirmation today (mailed off application on June 7). So far, I have received a secondary application from Marquette. One question though, what do dental schools evaluate more bcp gpa, non science gpa, science gpa, or cumulative gpa? Well thanks for any feedback and good luck to the rest of the 2005 applicants. 🙂

everything you wrote was correct except the "adcoms browse these threads sometimes". i know you should have chosen "all the time" instead of sometimes. i know of a few of the schools for sure.

If you are saying bad things about a school why would you want to go there in the first place?

Received confirmation from TMDSAS on 28, June.

Received letter from Baylor today confirming receipt of my application. 😀

Now the nerves are cranking up.
 
An email from OSU stating that my application is incomplete: Dental Obervation Form not submitted. Other than that, they start interviewing in late July/early August.
 
I have received a request for money from UOP and a letter confirming that they recieved the money. I also just received a postcard from UCLA telling me to send in their secondary and send in the money - of course. I also received my AADSAS info (i'm under #100!) and am very pleased with the GPA calculations. Only problem - I'm taking the DAT in two weeks - hope this doesn't hurt me. I do have a question though: it seems like everyone is already sending in their LOR's on here, but my helth professions office advised me not to use AADSAS and all of the schools I applied to say to send them only when they are asked for. Am I missing something? Thanks. Good luck to everyone!
 
hey guys, just wanna update everyone on what i've received so far:

recieved my AADSAS confirmation on wed. of last week (submitted June 2nd)

recieved first an information packet from case, and the following day an interview invite. going to try to scheduled sometime in mid-august.

recieved a letter from UF telling me that i've been accepted for interview. they want me to fill out secondary and submit $30.

and i got a weird email from howard, have no idea what its supposed to mean, i'll call them tomorrow to figure it out.

thats it so far, will keep yall updated... good luck everybody..

You should start getting the LOR from your health advisor then. Although some schools say not to send it until they are ask for, in reality, they will ask for it eventually. Some schools will not view your application until you have the LOR(s) so you should start asking for it now. It will take them time to write it and submit them to schools and by that time, probably the schools will be asking for them.

Thanks for responding. I actually already have all of my letters set and ready to go in my folder at the Health Professions office at my school. I was just wondering if I should go ahead and send them before the schools ask for them. I guess I should go ahead and send them.

By the way, has anyone heard anything from UCSF?

Received Arizona secondary last week, Boston is asking for my photograph and, of course, the processing fee 😡 , OSU observation report, and Nova email confirming "course description"
 
OSU requesting observation report (which they should get in the coming days).
Nova confirmation of receiving DAT scores (I expect my file to be complete here).

VCU just got a new admissions dean of admissions, so it's gonna take him a few weeks to get going. You should be hearing from VCU pretty soon. by the way the his name is Dr. Michael Healy

Does anyone know how to find a dentist who relocated his/her office? - I shadowed with a dentist last summer, and somehow she moved out of her office... and I really need to get hold of her for my LORS/Observation report for schools.

I tried the yellowpages.com, they still list her old office's address and number... anyone knows any other ways to find her?. I dont want to re-shadow another 20+ hrs, due to my summer schedule.

I got a call today at my lab from the guy who interviewed me last October at Columbia...he offered me a spot in the class of 2008. He seemed stunned when I told him that it was ironic that Columbia was my back-up school and that they only now gave me an acceptance. I then informed him that Tufts was getting my 250K and that he should piss off.

If they have a secondary, I haven't received one. The only correspondence I've had is one email. In that email, it said if I had any questions about to check inforsource first and then call. I don't think it would hurt to call them if you want to make sure they have everything. They may be waiting to receive your DAT scores. I took the DAT on June 17, and a couple of schools just got my official scores this week. Maybe VCU is waiting for the official score report.

I applied May 19th, but schools didnt get my application until June 22. AADSAS means 4 weeks when they say 4 weeks to send applications out.

I hope to hear from UMich soon.

did OSU say your application is complete? - they told me to correct some coursework data on my AADSAS application... meaning it was incomplete.
 
No, they sent a message stating that they needed my official DAT scores as well as my remaining LOR, which AADSAS is sending out one by one for some reason. The message didn't mention anything about correcting course work. Have you contacted them regarding this? My DAT scores were just released as Nova confirmed they received them and hopefully my LOR will all be mailed out within the next couple of days.
 
I have contacted OSU about their email, and they said they will re-review my application once they receive the corrected version of my application from AADSAS. They have everything else, so it will probably be until early August that I can check again with OSU if my application is complete.
 
I sent UCLA secondaries last Thursday

I got a letter from UPenn that my application is complete.

Does getting a secondary application mean something more than that a school has received my application?
 
anybody heard from vcu or nyu... i know vcu has a supp... but when do we get it.. ? 😱

A secondary application is generated by a school and supplements the application that you sent into AADSAS. Each school has their own though most have an essay portion (Why our school? etc.) and request additional information such as SAT and/or ACT scores.
