Ok meine damen und herren. The fantasy baseball league is ready to go. PM me your emails and I will send you the invites. I built a custom keeper league (in case it's a hit and we want to keep it next year) with ESPN. I have my other fantasy team there and it's a nice system. So even if you've never played before, it's pretty easy and you'll have fun regardless of your testosterone levels. (Looks pointedly at virusgirl). Anywho, let the facebook group know too, and have them PM me or email me: drew dot thompson13 at gmail dot com.

The league name is currently UMMS Fanatics, though I will be taking other suggestions under advisement and may change it if someone comes up with a zinger. I'd say we need at least 5 people to make this worthwhile, 10 would be better!

Shoot! I write like a boy! I always considered this a pretty estrogen-heavy thread - the only people I ever really thought came across as overtly male were thompa and envirodoc.

Hm, I think it's all my past comments about sticking head-in-autoclave and stress induced vomiting gave it away. In the future, I'll make sure to include comments like, I love daffodils and pandas to confound people.....also, just to make it clear, there's nothing wrong with guys enjoying daffodils and pandas either.

I'm debating whether or not to make an appearance at this "get together". I've already decided not to join the facebook group unless I actually get accepted. Will showing up at the gathering jinx my chances? I'm leaning towards probably to absolutely. How does everyone else feel about this quandry?

(I know we're all absurdly neurotic at this point so I'm assuming someone else must have had these thoughts).

You're not alone. I refuse to even speak UMass' name unless I'm accepted. I don't want to incur any pagan med school admissions god's wrath for seeming overly-confident right now .

Hey all, finally made an account after I caught up to the most current posting.

I interviewed 1/28 in the afternoon session, if anyone was there with me I was the guy who said his school was buried under snow. We just started seeing ground again last week!

I've been checking this compulsively too, as well as my email, and the Peoplesoft accnt to no avail.

"Decisions are being made now and everyone will hear between now and the middle of May."

I JUST got the e-mail.

I know I should be happy. But I really wanted an acceptance. They put me on the waitlist last year and never accepted me, so I am not really comforted by those stats.
