Thanks for the heads up! I think that just made me a little more nervous, as I am very interested in working with one of the professors there. Eek!

I have applied to UCF and I am interested in working w/ 2 professors there. Let's hope we hear something!😀

I would also love to know the POIs from the Denver Child Clinical Interviewees, if you are comfortable sharing.

Also, futureapppsy2, what would you think about including the number of ppl who received invites as well in the info? I don't know if it's too much work... but it would be helpful to gauge if a program sent out a bunch in one day vs spread them out....

I've decided not to do that out of respect for people's privacy. For example, I'm pretty sure cross applying with only one other poster to a program; if I got an invite and posted the "number of invites recieved" info, and s/he didn't that would "out" me to him or her, either for getting me getting an invite or me not (several of these have come from people who don't post here). Hope that makes sense!

Anybody know if GWU gave out all their PsyD invites today, or will they continue to extend them tomorrow and later this week?

DITTO!!! GWU Psyd was my number one and I am DYING!!! GEEZ... I'm really wondering if this was it, or if they have more invites to extend. Any info would be appreciated!
 
I saw the University of Georgia and Florida State University were on the list of invites. Anyone know if I should officially narrow my list from 15 to 13??

Ugh, when should I expect to hear something?🙁

What's keeping my hopes alive is that there are 4 interview dates. There's no way they could've called THAT many people today, right?

OMG, that's true. Plus, last year they took two days to call. BUT - it doesn't make it any less nerve racking! I was not expecting to see GW on the list so soon since last year was two weeks later. *Sigh*

Yeah, seeing that on the list kinda startled me. I wasn't expecting anything from them for awhile (not that I was expecting anything at all).

Oy. My first experience finding a program I've applied to pop up on "the" list. Must remain calm. Confident... Focused.......

If we lock this list will it all just go away? :lock:

Both University of Georgia and Florida State University have sent out official invites from the department by now (on top of POI contacts) (FSU even sent it again by snail mail). There is always a chance that they could ask someone else last minute, but I wouldn't get my hopes up. [Keeping in mind that, for example, UGA's day is next weekend and Fl. first week of Feb.] Sorry :/.
 
If anyone who received invites to these interviews would be kind of enough to PM me your POIs, I would be so grateful!!!

These are two of my top choices...I'm freaking out!

I think you're right. And good advice...freaking out will NOT make it go away .. even though it makes me feel better :laugh:
 
I would love to know POIs from the UDenver and Michigan Ann Arbor folks, but if you are not comfortable sharing I completely understand. :luck:

Noticed that the U of Memphis update says "invites given 1/22" - did you mean to write that invites were given on 1/12, or that they will be given out on the 22nd?

Also, if they were given out today, could whoever got invtes PM me their POI?

1). Whomever was invited to interview at University of Missouri-Columbia's Clinical Program, could you please either post on the thread or send the date of the interview to futureapp? I'd be most appreciative!

2). Was the invite to Penn State's Clinical Program for the adult or child track? Same thing (post on the thread, send this to futureapp or myself)!

hmm i just recently received an email from the POI at florida state clinical phd saying he was just starting to review... kinda odd, dont wanna get anyone elses hopes up... Maybe I could also hear from the FSU people by PM?

hmm so if the two Vermont people dont mind PM'ing me, if they dont feel comfortable telling me who their POI was if I could at least tell them my POI and see if that was a match. 🙂

I am pretty sure my guy is either a) slower or b) not doing prescreen interviews...

I appreciate it and cheers to all on the good day... mine was not so fortunate 🙁

Ah - odd but not entirely weird. If some interviews were rejected by applicants (i.e., they couldn't come) or some professors decided that they may be taking fewer students - that could have freed up some slots for another professor to take more on. And I guess they'd still have some time to do a review of applicants comfortably (although less comfortably for people who'd have to buy last minute plane tickets).

Just as an addendum to this, we (I'm a first year) were told that faculty were meeting tomorrow to make final decisions, not necessarily extending invitations. Expect them as early as tomorrow but also in the days to come. (In other words, don't lose hope if you don't hear tomorrow).
