The three things (app submitted, transcripts received, and payment received) all need green checks beside them before they will send it to schools. You can't get verified by aacomas without your transcript in, send it in as soon as grades come out and it won't be too late in the cycle.
 
what i did was submit my grades as of now and then ill update them with my summer grades after the grades come out and my MCAT scores are back. I would recommend this as long as you make the cut-offs for secondaries so you can get started on that while you wait for your grades and MCAT scores.

You won't be verified without transcripts, so no, they won't send your application to the schools and you won't receive secondaries.

Why don't you just send your current transcripts now and then send an update after summer? That way you will get verified sooner and when the new transcript comes they will update your application and forward it to the schools.
 
Thanks...sent them tonight and will update in August with the new grade. It's a repeat so I was hoping to show them that but by the time I interview (if I'm fortunate enough to get an interview) they'll have an update.

Hey LECOM just sent out their secondary. They must be getting an early start on things.
 
i submitted my secondary. i got a confirmation e-mail from them but under application status mine it is listed as not yet received. has this been the case for other people as well? also, its great there is no additional essay!!
 
so they are going to prompt us when to send letters? or should we go ahead

The email says that if you are selected for an interview you will need to submit LOR's. THEN, if you are accepted, you will need to send a DO LOR.




So this secondary really doesn't have an essay or any other questions. Awesome!

Yeah, last year's had two essays. I was collecting prompts from the secondaries and I noticed that I had two for this one. I didn't see it at all on the secondary, so I guess we have no essays this year.

I have a question:

I see from the CIB that a few schools (about half of the school's I applied to) have 7-1-2010 (July 1st) listed as the "supplemental application earliest filing date". So...these schools will receive our primaries when they are sent out (in a few days for me I guess, as I was verified a few days ago), and then just wait until July 1st to send us secondaries?

One of the schools even has August 1st as the "supplemental app earliest filing date".

Either that or they'll make them available, but we can't submit them until that date (similar to how we could work on AACOMAS prior to June 1).
 
just submitted LECOM's secondary! Does anyone have any idea when they will start interviewing? I'm really excited for this one! :luck:

Do you think this will be the case for other school's as well, with the LOR's?

I ask because I may not have a DO LOR ready for another 2 weeks. If that will set my application back, I could get a DO LOR in a few days if I really need it (but this is a last resort, as this DO LOR will be from a friend of a friend who offered to write me a Letter of Rec without ever shadowing him or even meeting him).
 
ahhhhh. okay so i submitted my secondary to lecom (if you call that a secondary) and paid, does it show anywhere that they confirmed receiving your secondary??
 
im starting to FUME. So when did you all get your applications verified? I got mine last Friday and still no status of sent (still reads Submitted to AACOMAS).

Didn't the message after you got verified say they only send them once a week?
 
I submitted mine on 6/2 and it was sent out on 6/6... so it takes a couple days.
 
Did anyone put Erie for their first and second choice on the LECOM secondary?

erie for me.. i prefer LDP.

To everyone else, it is still REALLY early in the app cycle, dont get too frustrated yet, there will be plenty of time for frustration in the fall when interviews start.

ooo my bad i misread... no I didn't even realize that was an option. I have heard that during your interview (hopefully we get them) they will ask you to rank all of the programs. ex. 1. erie ldp 2. erie pbl. 3. seton hill pbl. 4. isp.

what did you choose?

does anyone know if VCOM has sent out secondaries to EDP applicants yet?
 
Interesting to hear that LECOM has both already sent out their secondaries and there is no essays this year. Cool I guess? makes it quicker and easier to submit.

Fairly upsetting though since I'm still waiting to even be able to submit because of spring grades.... incredibly frustrating and just highlights the fact that this new policy puts quarter system applicants at a disadvantage

It asks you for your campus preference (but not which pathway you have preference for), your SSN, your race, and whether or not you've been convicted of a felony.

There are no questions or essays. It takes about 30 seconds to finish and submit.

Wow lol thats almost a joke. I kind of wish there is like 2 essays, wouldnt u? Only because its a way for them to get to know u, as opposed to just ur stats and primary.

I know the essays are a pain the ass, but atleast it gives people with low stats an excuse to explain themselves etc lol
 
When y'all say LECOM sent out secondaries, does that mean LECOM-Bradenton as well?

I applied there and have not received their secondary. I'm keeping my fingers crossed though! I don't know about everyone else, but I think this whole application process will end up shortening my life by 5 years lol

I applied to both but only heard back from lecom - erie
 
The first round was sent out Sunday June 6, so check later this evening and see if yours are going out today.

Make sure you download one of your apps that got sent to make sure everything is there and that you don't have the errors ours did in the first round.

No. Right now, on the AACOMAS main page, next to the schools you applied to it probably says "Submitted to AACOMAS". After they release it to the schools, it'll change to a date that can be clicked. When you click the date, the link is actually a pdf of the exact application they sent to the school. You need to look it over to make sure your grades are all correct and that all of your activities and honors/awards are listed.

Hmm I was verified before the 1st/submitted the 5th...hope nothing's wrong. Maybe I should call. So on Sunday night your "Submitted"s turned to dates? Or was it sometime last week after Sunday?
 
Mine changed sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning. The PDF apps had some errors and customer service rep told me that they would fix them and re-send to schools with their next batch. I'm presuming that will be tonight.

It was Sunday afternoon, the 6th. Then we recognized the issue, emailed them, and they responded that night that they would correct it and send out new ones.
 
Just got UMDNJ's secondary. Anyone else get it? It has 2 essay questions plus a $90 app fee. I'm excited to be getting secondaries! :luck: to everyone!

word i just got it too, i'm debating to send it in or not. I have heard they are pretty unfriendly to oos students, anyone have insight about that??
