Never got an LOR received confirmation.

Mayo was my top choice, so this was quite disappointing. Good luck to everyone else!

I am so sorry to hear this! I received LOR request on the same day. No II nor rejection. Perhaps on the waitlist of interview... Well, torture remains. Good luck to all your other applications!

I still haven't heard a thing from Mayo... LOR request 7/6... Hopefully, my application does not end up like last year--- waiting till the last day and got rejected.

I'm in the same boat. Keeping my fingers crossed, but at this point I kinda just want the crazy Mayo emotional roller coaster to stop one way or another. Waking up in the morning and having a mild heart attack when I open gmail and see that I have unread messages in my inbox is unpleasant (this morning I freaked out about a Groupon...)

I have the same feeling (interview invitations extended first...now comes the rejections.) At the same time, I try to maintain a glimmer of hope.

Oh my goodness I know the feeling. Reading through the threads of schools I've applied to and seeing everyone get interviews is killing my morale right now.

Whatever makes you feel better! Just seems like obsessing over things you have absolutely no control over (interview invites, etc.) would be exhausting.

That's why I like this thread more than any of the others. It's rather fun and stress-reducing to talk about how anxious we are, because everyone feels the same way and we're in this together, all on the same wavelength. I truly wish that we could all get accepted, because I'd like to spend the next four years of my life with people this fun and amusing.

When you say you've been staying up waiting, do you mean you stay awake until 3 a.m. anyways? or you don't sleep until after 3 just because of Mayo? Just curious.

LOR request 7/1, but my school didn't write/submit the committee letter until a few days ago 🙁. I wish I knew if mayo has received the letters (/wish that the committee letter hadn't taken so long to send!!)

i had a dream last night too, but it was about donuts i'm pretty sure. i think i had to use all my will to restrain myself from eating the one donut until i had delivered the other one to my dad. this quality of self control will contribute positively to my role as a future phsycian 🙂

The way to get over your email panic is to just subscribe to a whole lot of email services. You'll soon get used to a new message in your inbox and begin to assume that all the new emails are non medically related.
