No update email...not good...must start improving my poledancing skillz.

Yes, improving...yes, I'm a dude.

I don't believe that these e-mails correlate with the nature of the news they are giving you. I believe everyone that interviews eventually receives one? Then again, I could be wrong.

I wouldn't worry about it. I didn't receive any kind of update email before I got the acceptance call. They might not send one to Maine Track people for some reason?

Yeah I'm a Maine Tracker too and I didn't get any update email before my acceptance call either.

Oh ok, thanks guys. Yeah, I'm a Maine tracker, so apparently its not a "pre-acceptance" email. Phew!

Cool. So from past history, does that suggest good news or just news?

They claimed during my interview that everyone gets this email, and that it doesn't have any meaning as to whether they're going to accept you or not.

Do they send an email regarding acceptance before/after they call?

:xf:Still hoping for a call!:xf:

Congrats to those accepted!!

do we know if they call in any particular order (like interview day)? and the calls usually span a couple of days, right?

Congrats to those accepted!!

The call comes first. Dean Neumeyer mentioned in the call that the e-mail/packet would come later on. I think the calls do span a few days based on the previous month's acceptances. Good luck! :luck:

Just interviewed at Tufts and I absolutely love the school, program, students, everything 😀 I'm also now interested in their combined degree program for MD/MPH. I know that the application is still open but anyone know how competitive it is?

No need to fret yet! I interviewed very early in the month, but was called on the last day of acceptance calls last time - so there isn't much rhyme or reason to when you will hear within the span.

Woot accepted! And never got that confirming contact info email either. I'm 93% sure that I'm going to end up going here.

(searches for TUSM c/o 2016 Facebook group...fails to find one...scratches head...)

Just received the loveliest phone message- I'm accepted!!!

Congratulations to everyone!! I'm so excited for all of our futures- we're going to be doctors!!

Good luck to all!

:luck:

Smack dab in the middle of another interview day... Thank goodness my phone was on silent. Congrats and good luck everyone!

Got a "after a thorough review subsequent to your interviews, the medical school Admissions Committee has deferred making a final decision on your application"

Meh.

Anyone have any idea how many spots there might be left for the Maine Track Program? I'm interviewing the beginning of Feb. I'm guessing there's like, one spot left 🙁 😕

Got the deferred admission..idk what to do now..lets hope they look good upon me..i m running gout of time and options

Congratulations everyone who got accepted! I just interviewed here this week and totally fell in love with the school. It is by far my top choice out of all the places I've interviewed. I 😍 you Tufts! :xf:

I have no idea how many spots are left, but I think you can rest assured that if they are offering you an interview, you have as good a shot as any interviewee to be accepted. Having said that, you are probably more likely, all other things being equal, to be waitlisted if you interview so late, but if that happens, you still have a fair shot at getting in. I'll bet you half the 2016 Maine track class will have gotten in off the waitlist.

That's good to know! Thanks!

For all of you still awaiting an invite to interview, don't give up hope! I just got mine this morning for 2/9 and I wasn't complete until mid-November. I'm OOS with a 3.5 gpa and 33R MCAT.

Any tips from those who have already interviewed? Thanks in advance and good luck!

Does anyone know if there anything that is really unique about Tuft's medical curriculum?

Does Tufts not send out any hold or rejections pre-interview invite? Jw since I've been complete since 8/4 and I don't consider myself a very competitive candidate here with a VR=8.

Ok... I'm confused... I got a Tufts financial aid application in the mail today, with no letter explaining whether I was accepted or not. I interviewed 12/8, and haven't received any calls/e-mails... Do they send the financial aid application out to everyone??

Yep. At least everyone that had an interview I think.

Why? Why Tufts, why? Biggest tease everrrrr

I know. I got waitlisted here 2 years ago, then got that thing, and I didn't even have the heart to fill it out. (Un)fortunately I didn't get in off the waitlist anyway. But everyone should fill it out so that you have the best chance at getting some aid if you get in later or off the waitlist!

Will those who interviewed in December hear back in mid-January, or will there be a delay due to the holiday? Thanks guys.

Hi! I recently got into both Tufts and UMass and it seems most people end up choosing UMass over Tufts (because of the money). I am wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation and chose Tufts over UMass. Basically, money and location aside, which school is a better choice?
