Complete! Anyone know how long it takes for them to call for interviews?

Hey Guys,

They are having alot of technical difficulties but their IT dept is super quick with it. Just a heads up 🙂

Complete! Anyone know how long it takes for them to call for interviews?

Based on last year's thread the earliest interview date seemed to be September 29th if you were not EDP (If u were EDP, it was September 17th)
Aight, good luck! Hope we all get interviews soon! 🙂

This is my #1. Good luck everyone!! Hopefully I'll be your classmates next year 😀

Complete! First one I have done. Love the easy essays.

Hey guys I interviewed last year, didn't get in since I applied so late, so let me know if you guys have any questions about the MMIs.

Do you mind sharing your stats and the timeline in which you applied/received an interview? Also, I know how the MMIs are structured with the 7-8 different interviews but could you just briefly describe your experience and maybe a few example questions? 🙂 Thanks!

Last year I turned in my primary on october 15th at 5:30PM (last possible day). My MCAT is 33 (11-V 12-PS 10-BS) and my GPA at the time was 3.69 (now 3.66 after graduating). The MMI really flew by once I relaxed. The questions are really random and hard to prepare for. A few examples include: What 3 sports would you eliminate from the olympics? Should the US government pay ransoms for our citizens who are captured in other countries? There was also a teamwork station where we had to work together to decode a puzzle, and another station where we had to talk to an actor who was pretending to be a patient who had been waiting in the ER for 4 hours (this I found the most difficult station). Let me know if you have any other questions 🙂 Luckily this year I have already turned in the secondary for Cinci, so hopefully I get in this time (last time I ended up on the waitlist but have little chance of getting off it at this point).

Thanks! I'll let you know if I think of anything else. Best of luck with reapplying. Sounds like you have pretty solid stats!

Hey guys, for the traffic/speeding ticket portion, did you list speeding tickets where you were not found guilty?

Also, I have a court date in December for a traffic ticket, do I need to list that?

List everything and explain. You won't be rejected from medical school for a traffic ticket, but you will for dishonesty.

Just so you guys know - you don't have to feel foolish putting in contact information for a dead parent. Once I selected 'deceased' I was able to just put a few basic information points. In other words, ignore the asterisks and do what makes sense, they aren't required.

can anyone post the 10-90th percentile stats from the MSAR? I'm too cheap to buy it and the lib is soooo far lol

cGPA 3.33-3.98, Median: 3.76
sGPA 3.23-3.99, median: 3.71
MCAT: 29-37, median: 33

Got a speeding ticket like 4 years ago. In Cali after 3 years its off your record. I took traffic school too. Should I just list it or no?

So I have 5 speeding tickets on my DMV record and about 8-9 total tickets. How do I spin this in the right way?

Just say you were eager to get to your research lab...9 times.

relative on the death bed who had 9 close calls until they finally kicked the bucket (depending on what the other 3-4 are for).

only if that's true, though.

Were all of your letters in before you guys received a secondary? I still haven't received one yet and was verified 6/20.

Just wanted to wish you guys good luck! I applied to Cincinnati last cycle, interviewed early September, got waitlisted, and just got accepted a few days ago. 🙂

Feel free to ask me any questions, although a previous poster has probably answered some of them.

IS, 37 MCAT, 3.71 cGPA, 3.69 sGPA

Why'd it take them so long, bad interview?

I don't have my letters in yet but I received the secondary a few hours after I submitted the AMCAS...who knows. Not verified yet either 😕

Same here. I am not even verified yet and i got a secondary application. I was wondering how they even knew i applied to them through AMCAS if they haven' t even sent them the primary app information. I completed the secondary though but i am still waiting on my MCAT score to be released soon and basically being verified.

No idea. My interview went okay, I think. It's hard to tell with the MMI format. My ECs aren't really anything to write home about, so I think that's the reason I was waitlisted everywhere.

Got rejected from Wright State outright so who knows how the application process at each school works.

I believe schools are forwarded information of applicants who have selected to apply there as soon as you submit, and schools can choose to send out secondaries at any point.

A 3.7 at Vandy, 37 MCAT and IS? You must have horrible luck, no other explanation.

any idea on timeframe from cincy as in are they reviewing apps right now?

Ok thanks.

Lol, that's hilarious, but to the guy that got accepted, I am glad you got in. I am sure you are pretty relieved.

Are they not asking about in-state status in this year's secondary? They definitely did last year....

Does anyone still not have a secondary? Is it worth calling now?

I added this school late last night, and got the secondary early this morning. I'm pretty sure they didn't have time to screen my primary and send me a secondary at 7 AM.

So yeah, I think you should call admissions for the secondary.

Just to reiterate my question, did anyone fill out information about being an in-state applicant (other than your permanent address) on the secondary? I never encountered it when I filled out the app, but it was definitely there last year.

They have your state of residence from you primary with amcas. Why would you need to specify this again?

any idea when we will be hearing about interview invites from this school?

Thanks! I could blame bad luck but it doesn't matter anymore 😀

It will probably be late August to early September when the first rounds of interviewees are contacted.

Never got an email regarding the secondary application and was verified 6/21. So I went onto their website to find the admissions contact info and decided to just complete the secondary and submit. Hope they don't think I'm not interested.

I finally got my AMCAS off 🙂 I've never heard anything but great things from my med student friends at UC. I work at a local hospital and have been living here for a year, so if anyone has any questions about the area, feel free to message me!

Did you apply to their BS/MD program before?
