Interview invite today!! Complete mid-Sept, check marks mid-Oct - super excited!!!

For you guys that got the acceptance call last Wednesday, have you gotten the official letter in the mail yet and/or is there a link in your portal to accept the offer? I know we usually have 2 weeks to respond, and its already been a week, and offices probably won't be open until Monday, so I just wanted to make sure I'm not missing something that we should be doing. Thanks!

i received my acceptance letter in the mail, but still do not see how to "accept the invitation to hold your place in the class" online. Does anyone know, or maybe they're behind on giving the recently accepted students access to this?

I just got this email for the 1st time, complete early sept, letters marked received early oct..."through dec 2012" isnt soo much time...

And I think they do usually come w/ of batch of IIs, but some just went out last week so I don't think there will be a batch of II this week.

+1...third for me as well. At least we are all in the same boat, assuming nobody with these emails has received II or rejection yet. Hopefully we will hear good news soon!

at my interview they said that they couldn't give us a definitive time table at all 🙁 but it doesn't seem like any acceptances have gone out too recently, so maybe there will be another wave soon?

On the secondary, I'm listing Upper Level courses in a subject, can I list 3 courses for 13 credits or I have to list only 2 courses for 8 credits. The reason I want to list all 3 is that I'm not sure about one course counting in that area.

I dont think it really matters whether you list three or two. If they find something wrong or worth noting on it, they will contact you. I dont think they will reject you because of this.

I submitted my secondary yesterday, and I have not received the check mark for the letter of recommendations. Did I miss the deadline by not getting that check mark by the deadline.

I think as long as you submitted by the deadline, you're fine.

It has taken about a month for everyone to receive the LOR check after submission so I imagine it will be about the same for you.

apparently my parents got a letter in the mail saying something along the lines of a "we're still in the process of reviewing." it didn't have the words rejection or waitlist in it... and it said something about fafsa. my parents don't really speak english, so unsure what this is all about. anyone else get someone like this? this is post-interview, btw.

I got that as well this afternoon. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think it's really a formal waitlist; more like a statement saying they didn't accept us the first time around but they will consider us again at subsequent meetings. That's a little different than a formal waitlist, right?

I think some people did actually get in before May after receiving that letter. For people who got the letter-- what date did you interview?

edit--- just looked over last year's thread and you're totally right, it seems like the letter=traditional wait list. bummer!

Same here... Interview is next week but I haven't heard back for a student host.

I heard from my host 5 days before my interview. I would wait a little while longer since there will always be plenty of open hotel rooms.

Just got a "still under consideration for admission" notice via snail mail today. Not that surprised as I hadn't heard anything yet and interviewed 10/5, not to mention I didn't feel that great about how my behavioral interview went. Oh well. Just submitted an application update and another strong LOR, so perhaps that will help sway them when they look at my application again. I'm hoping that this isn't just a nice way of leading me softly to a rejection...
