Driving in a snowy place isn't much different than driving in a non-snowy place (speaking from personal experience). If there's a giant snowstorm, it's a bit different because you have to drive really slowly and carefully but I'd hope the site would reschedule interviews. Otherwise, the road crews keep roads pretty clean and safe throughout the winter. You can watch out for black ice if you drive at a reasonable speed and black ice isn't that common most of the time (takes a particular set of conditions). Depending on how far you'd have to go, like if the site is rural, a cab could be very expensive (more than a car rental, though less than a car crash). If you drive carefully, which you probably would because of your heightened anxiety
