I've accomplished quite a small amount throughout this whole process 🙂Has anybody's productive decreased over these past two weeks? I can't focus at all!!!

+1!!just received a phone call from WellSpan, offering me an interview!
Drastically!Has anybody's productive decreased over these past two weeks? I can't focus at all!!!

I have my first Phase 2 interview in half an hour...trying to remain calm and collected but not going to lie, feeling very nervous. I may or may not be playing "Let it go" from Frozen on repeat to help me calm my nerves and get in the right framework of just letting it go and being myself.
I hate this process so much.
I also agree that rejections would be a nice addition to Phase 2!
Deep breaths! In and out. They're just as scared as you are... maybe. That might only work with snakes and other assorted wildlife but anyway, you'll do great! 🙂I have my first Phase 2 interview in half an hour...trying to remain calm and collected but not going to lie, feeling very nervous. What are they?just got a rejection notice from Southern Utah University. actually, a quite helpful rejection, because Dr. Ellsworth listed the 3 most common reasons why students are not selected for interviews.
I guess I am going to ask what others are thinking lol...what are they?just got a rejection notice from Southern Utah University. actually, a quite helpful rejection, because Dr. Ellsworth listed the 3 most common reasons why students are not selected for interviews.
Still not a peep (for anyone on the forum it seems!) from half of my sites...including my 4 top choices for Phase 2! My outstanding list is:
Children's Hospital of MN
Nationwide Children's Hospital
Tulane School of Medicine
Mailman Center/University of Miami
Children's Institute, Inc.
UCLA Health & Behavior Track
University of Vermont
Anyone else kind of nervous that the people they invited to interview might just not be on SDN?? Seems like at least some folks should have heard by now if this process is going to be over by the 17th... Maybe I'm just being paranoid.
I listened to that song the whole week before match day...and was listening to it at the moment I got the "you didn't match" email so I had to take a break from it. But time heals, and I love the song again 🙂I may or may not be playing "Let it go" from Frozen on repeat to help me calm my nerves and get in the right framework of just letting it go and being myself.
i found it helpful to practice mock interviews over the phone and on facetime with a few close friends.Glad to hear interviews are going well! I have my first interview Friday and I'm kinda freaking out about it after the phase 1 debacle. I didn't interview in phase 1 so any advice from those of you that have interviewed is much appreciated!

Yes it has. I know it is a stressful process for all parties (sites and applicants). I just feel that if we have to write cover letters for all of them, the least they can so is send mass rejections as a courtesy. This has really been a slow day. It's like all the remaining sites have decided not to contact us today as torture. Ugh!!🙁
I got a massage the night before in the hopes that it would help me sleep. But I also wrote out questions I thought they might ask, wrote my responses and reviewed beforehand so it was fresh in my mind. That way I wasn't relying on my ability to come up with impromptu responses that weren't as thoughtful as I'd like them to be.Glad to hear interviews are going well! They are!!! I hope they respond to my email. Thank you for the heads upThe College of William and Mary is making phone calls this afternoon!! Good luck, everyone!
Very brave of you ! Maybe I should do that also . Did anyone respond to your emails ?I really want an interview with my top 4 so I emailed asking about the status of my application, what I like about their program and why I would be a great fit. It's time to get a little aggressive and go after what we want.
Just wanted to wish everyone in Phase 2 good luck!!! Sorry, I mean everyone except ShakeyD, Vagery, and NFLfan2014 (since they don't want acknowledge comments from people who matched in Phase 1).
Hahahahaha.....well that was awkward
That's a great observation. I mean, I understand wanting to be encouraging but I don't think I'd be trolling this thread if I had matched. Just sayin'I think it's funny someone signed up just to be able to make that comment. 🙂

Not yet. It was my last ditch effort. I had a friend who received rejections and he turned them into invites by emailing the director of training. I figured I have nothing to lose.Very brave of you ! Maybe I should do that also . Did anyone respond to your emails ?
Like they rejected their rejection?! That's ballsy but I like it.Not yet. It was my last ditch effort. I had a friend who received rejections and he turned them into invites by emailing the director of training. I figured I have nothing to lose.
Wow, fifty1fifty. You have shown true class and the right kind of attitude in someone wanting to be in the mental health profession in order to help others. The amazing way in which you have handled the reactions of those who have been upset due to not matching in Phase I is truly inspiring. I hope to someday treat a client who has undergone a major disappointment with as much understanding as you have shown. Thank you for making me feel that internship sights were looking for those who needed the most improvement in Phase I.Yep, I did. Sorry to bring real life into this thread but I know one of the three posters I referenced and they have been very nasty when I have tried to be supportive. I guess it is just frustrating to try to be supportive, then find out that a friend is complaining about how unsupportive people are on the internet. Anyways, that is all for me on this thread. Shouldn't have brought my drama here but honestly I really do wish everyone luck, regardless of whether they want it or not 🙂
It is ballsy and it worked for him. I figured, let me try it before they reject me. Just a little convincing email as to why they should call, lolLike they rejected their rejection?! That's ballsy but I like it.

Stay classy fifty1fifty.

Yes, please tell us more. This is fascinating. Your friend deserves a folk song.Sorry to interject into this thread, but I am too curious. Can I ask what your friend said? I mean, that is pretty darn awesome.

He told me that he emailed them and stated that he was surprised that he received a rejection because he thought he was a great fit and wrote out all the reasons why he thought he was a great fit. He also spoke about his experience. He turned around several rejections. I was astonished. I had another friend who did the same thing. He is the original emailer. LolYes, please tell us more. They probably feel embarassed about the situation, I know I feel that way. each person has their own way of dealing with it. what I find irritating is that you are turning this into a problem that really doesn't involve you. let him/her cope in their own way. this mean they may or may not want to discuss it with someone who so called "succeeded" where we did not.fifty1fifty: 14978306 said:Yep, I did. The next question is, did he match at any of those sites? It is ballsy and it worked for him. I figured, let me try it before they reject me. Just a little convincing email as to why they should call, lol
