Did anyone on hold receive an email from admissions updating them on approx when they will receive their final decision? Seems like last year DS sent out an email in April and May.
 
When do ya'll expect the Spring Hold list to move? Do you think they will go through the whole list?
 
Withdrew my acceptance this morning. Good luck to all of you!
 
I've been on hold since Late December and haven't heard from them since. Should I call them?
 
man, being on hold is terrible. hang in there guys! hopefully there's a lot of movement.
 
So are we all expecting a lot of movement tomorrow? I feel everyone interviewed, but not accepted was put on hold. If anyone does get accepted tomorrow I hope its the people on this forum ( including myself lol).
 
Judging from last year, there seemed to be a good amount of movement the first few days and then it slowed down. Let's all hope for a phone call, good luck everyone.

Yeah it seems like a bunch of people got accepted May 15 and 16 and then it just dropped off. Every time my phone vibrates or rings, I look at it so intensely haha
 
Miss the call = lose your acceptance?

If waitlist movement starts today, what's going on with people who were interviewed late during the cycle and haven't gotten a post interview response yet?
 
Lets all breath and take a lesson from the subway system:

Ladies and Gentlemen, this is an important message from Medical School Admissions Offices. Keep your acceptances in sight at all times. Save yourself from rejection. If you see an unattended acceptance do not keep it to yourself. Tell SDN. Remain alert and have the most stressful day of your life.

Basically if anyone hears anything good or bad please post !

Ya what about this? I interviewed on March26 and still have had no reply email or mail.
 
I would love to know what downstate considers "late spring." :bored:

+1. Interviewed April 3rd. I spoke to the office yesterday and the representative said that they would be reviewing applications again near the end of May/Early June. :/
 
Damn nothing like last yrs page it seems on the 15th
 
it seems 2 years ago, there was an "Admissions checklist" website that allowed applicants to track their status. Does the 2013-2014 application cycle also have a similar website?
 
Interviewed March 20th. Received rejection letter by snail mail May 12th. Good luck to people still waiting.
 
Calls the admissions office to find out if they've reviewed my application. Person in the office says yes, and that I'll receive the decision in the mail the week after next and won't tell me over the phone....I'll assume it was a rejection since she sounded sad after she looked up my AMCAS. 🙁

There is a checklist this year too. They email you with both log in and password information.
 
Is this after you get accepted or before ? I never received any notification of a checklist. When did you get this ?

I'm pretty sure the checklist is only for accepted students. It's essentially everything you have to submit before you begin in August (tax forms for residency tuition, health forms, CPR cert, etc).

Interviewed 10/2/13
Got "hold for spring" email 10/24/13
Been on hold ever since. It's been over 7 months.
Anybody with a similar situation/dates?
I'm in-state, traditional, got accepted to upstate, and a couple out of state schools.

Very similar boat here. Interviewed September. Spring hold 10/17. Still waiting..
 
Same here: Interviewed end of October. Hold in December. Still waiting.
 
Word, last yrs had multiple ppl posting on may 15th.maybe their behind this yr ?
 
Remember the 15th was a Wednesday last year and was a Thursday this year. I bet people will hear later today (wow it's Monday already! I should go to bed...) or tomorrow.

Barring a few waitlists of my own we will probably be classmates so I hope you all hear good news 🙂
 
Does anyone know how long Downstate gives students accepted from the WL to get all health forms in order. If I make summer plans that need me to leave the country will I have enough time to come back and get everything in order ?

Congrats! Did you send a letter of intent/updates? When did you interview?
 
I interviewed in end of January. Sent one update post interview pre spring hold and another update after I was put on hold. No letter of intent.

Same news today!! Interviewed late January as well. Sent updates after my interview and a letter of interest (why downstate sort of thing) about a month ago.

Can I ask where you sent your loi? To the regular admissions email address?
