He was rejected at LUCOM. It doesn't get lower than that. I would want to give up too.
Where are you going next year?

Rejected everywhere, **** this I'm gonna get my player haters degree (phd) and teach. Good luck to everyone else who are waiting for a positive response. Can't believe I just spent all that money and all that time for absolutely nothing. What a crock of ****!

So yeah not exactly a reliable pick for ad coms, but who knows. I can't get into any SMP or Post-Bacc programs affiliated with MD programs, and may even struggle to get into a good DO Post-Bacc program (LECOM). I'm considering pursuing a 2nd Bachelor's, let me know what you guys think!
Yeah, without a GPA starting with a 3, you're really not going to have a chance at all.Joining the club!

Retake a bunch of classes and get 3.0+

You HAVE to do some serious retakes.
Keep in mind that the minimum standard for most schools accepting a grade is C, so any C- or below HAS to be retaken.
The 2nd bachelors is your call...lot of variables to consider.
Shadow a podiatrist. Schooling is similar and you may find you like it!Joining the club!

Yes. We start them in May when you can start writing your applications. Until then, there is a lot of stuff that can change. Is it still too early for the 2014/2015 underdog thread?
I don't think it'll be that sudden. When they have an implementation date, maybe competition comes. I predict that when or if it comes it'll be later in the cycle when people lose hope on their precious MD application.OK. Can't wait for the new thread! Hope it doesn't get even more competitive because of the merger..

You probably didn’t know there is a parallel world of physicians and surgeons who don’t have M.D. after their names. Here’s the rundown from inside this unique (and totally awesome) world.
Congrats! As the UD thread is dying down, I'm posting near the end so others in years to come can see when they come here.
I was accepted with a 25 MCAT, 3.0s & 3.36c.
You won't see my username at the 1st page, the one with every other persons GPA and MCAT, actually. The person who oversaw the thread refused to add me to the underdog thread. Downplayed my numbers as hopeless. I was told that he or she wouldn't "sugar coat" things, but that I was up for nothing but rejection. And then rejected me from the UD thread. Yup, just wouldn't put my name up there. True story, page 25.
I was accepted.
I was accepted not just for academics. I was accepted because my application had more than just gobs of amazing statistics.
I was accepted because of my volunteer experiences. As a firefighter, an EMT, a humanitarian aid coordinator, a red cross team member, and many, many more things.
I was accepted because I believed the admissions committee could see that I am a person who has compassion and desire to study humanity.
I was accepted because of life experience. I'm not kid; I'm older than the average applicant. I've been in the workplace for a long time. I know real life. And it shows.
I was accepted because of things that are personal, but had you read my personal statement, you'd want to meet me and see if it's more than just an amazing story.
The person who rejected me from the UD thread has better statistics than I, and I truly do hope their goals are fulfilled this cycle. But to my knowledge, they, and many others with very good numbers, better than mine, were not accepted yet this cycle for the privilege of becoming a physician in the class of 2018.
We are underdogs. Underdogs have heart, they are the Rocky Balboas of the world. They don't have the best numbers or the greatest projections. But, they hang in there with the rest and the best. They just want a shot in the ring. There is no replacement for grades. But there is more to it than grades alone.
My very sincere best wishes to all others who are still waiting for that phone call with the good news. Hope to see you all in 2018 with a white coat.

I want both Serenade and jackzack87 to answer to these accusations. I can't imagine Serenade putting someone down so low that he won't add him to the UD list when people are in there with worse stats. I also want to know if jackzack87 is manipulating the story by hiding the fact that he started with a 22.I'm happy for you and congrats on your acceptance.
In all fairness your original MCAT was a 22. If you initially had a 25, no one would have doubted your success.

3.36 cGPA
3.00 sGPA
22 MCAT 8/8/6
MCAT retake Sept 7
What's your test average so far? Because it may be wise to just sit out this year if you're scoring less than 28.
Concur. You would need at least a 26 for a shot at DO. Normally it is wise to be scoring about 2 points above your target score before a retake. I wish you the best of luck though. I was an underdog last year, so I know it can seem insurmountable at times. But with patience and hard work it can definitely be done!
With a 26 mcat ud b in waitlist city imo. Shoot for a 28 or higher to be competitive.

Right, not intending to give misinformation. As it had said, I had a retake in progress. I actually had an interview invite with the 22, before a retake. I did receive a 25 MCAT after that; if it helped towards the acceptance, I'll never know.
Touch, I did not know you were involved with data. I'd rather focus on the fact that there is much more to an application process and evaluation than a GPA and MCAT, which has been lost in the dictation of this thread. I would think it more than a slip through the cracks that someone mentions twice they want to be added to the list, to share in the pursuit of a goal, but why would someone whose request to be added was pushed back and disregarded. give "updated information." C'mon, man...
An ii with a 3.0 science and 22? Well, it is kind of hard to tell whether your EC's made the difference or if it was the fact it was such a new school and didn't have as strong an applicant pool.
Well, I think their case shows that numbers-wise there isn't really a "death range" that will completely preclude you from interviews (or the real death range is far lower than we think). There are schools that will look past even VERY low stats if the complement of the application is unique, interesting, etc.
No hard feelings bro. I never asked for or used your advice, but I'll accept your oversight and lets move on. Peace
What is there to think about? This is not charity. Go to the best school with the cheapest cost.I don't know if this is an appropriate place, but since I've been with you all during this entire process, I'm more comfortable in this part of the forum than anywhere else.
Anyways, I guess this could be major UD-ness, given my scores, but I just received word (about 2 hours ago) that I was accepted to my in-state MD school. I'm pretty speechless right now. Now comes the hard choices...

Ok not gonna try and troll here or incite a flame water but according to the latest statistics AA matriculants have a 3.08/3.30 and a 22.85 MCAT. Does this mean an AA applicant with a 3.0/3.0/25 is not an underdog?
when were you accepted to MSUCOM? and how many credits of post-bac?This is to give hope for future applicants
Undergrad 3.25 cGPA, 2.75 sGPA, 27 MCAT (10V, 9BS 8PS)
