They come in waves. I just got mine after others already posted. It doesn't mean anything about your match status. I matched!! I'm done applying to things for a WHOLE YEARI haven't gotten an email yet...

And those who are not...on to Phase II - best of luck!

You're right! I matched to my top choice! Woohoo!!!They come in waves. I just got mine after others already posted. It doesn't mean anything about your match status. I matched!! I'm done applying to things for a WHOLE YEAR
That was quick. I guess they were sent out at 7:30 EST. I believe everyone should have received the email by now.
Anybody up on the West Coast? Did you check your email yet?
Guess I'm the first to not match...I'm just confused because I really thought my interviews went well, and I was a good fit at a few sites. Giving myself until 9 to process, then I'm going to get going on Phase II. Wish me luck!
Wish me luck!
Same here
Adding to this, I've known multiple extremely qualified and ultimately very successful psychologists who didn't match in their first cycle, even in Phase II/Clearinghouse. It's frustrating to have to wait another year, but it is no way a final statement on your qualifications as a student, intern, or psychologist. Really, it isn't.Congratulations to those who match. To those who don't, just remember that there are a number of highly-qualified folks who've come before you, been in your shoes, and gone on to successful careers. It sucks, and it's ok to be upset. However, every single year since I've paid attention to the process, there have been excellent sites available in phase II.

Looks like progress toward improving the imbalance, but still a long way to go.

Hopefully this person matched! Yikes!Someone submitted 76 applications. 76!!!!!!
I was just about to comment on this! HOW?? How do you do this? And why? I submitted 14 apps, and I remember the cover letters taking forever. Applying to anything more than 20 sites sounds insane to me.
I wonder if he or she matched.Someone submitted 76 applications. 76!!!!!!

Uggh, that's tough. I'm lucky because we all matched, so we can celebrate. I fretted about what to do if someone in my cohort didn't match.i have such mixed feelings. Almost all my cohort matched well. except one person. a really awesome person. I feel so bad.
In order to keep this conversation separate from the discussion of personal results, I created a separate discussion of the match stats here: http://forums.studentdoctor.net/threads/2016-appic-match-statistics.1184783/Match stats here for those interested: http://www.appic.org/Match/MatchStatistics/MatchStatistics2016PhaseI.aspx

yeah, I don't really feel like celebrating. She would just have to be the nicest, sweetest person with excellent credentials. There were some geographic limitations but not to the point I thought it would affect her like this.Uggh, that's tough. I'm lucky because we all matched, so we can celebrate. That's annoying 🙁 I'm sorry. It's interesting to see that a site that I ranked higher than the site I ended up matched to ended up in phase II. That means that that place didn't rank me, which is sort of shocking to me because I thought I did such a good job. I was the only person who they interviewed who bothered to go to their open house....
