I couldn't help myself. Especially after I watched the second one a few weeks ago.

Do you REALIZE what you've DONE?!!?

You can get a secondary from Vandy with just a good MCAT, even if your GPA is kinda janky. Ask me how I know.

Oh didn't see that part. I know the automatic secondary is screened around a 3.9 and 37 about.

I got a secondary with a 3.5 - it happens, but ya definitely not automatically...

Does anyone who interviewed last Friday 10/30 have any thoughts to share on the interview day experience or Vandy in general? My day is coming up in the next couple weeks and I would love to hear what folks have to say!

Check out by MD Apps! 🙂

Safe to just go ahead and give up on getting a secondary at this point? Even if I got one, I feel like it's no longer worth it.

No interview invites sent out today? They've been sending out interview invites every other Wednesday. Anxiously awaiting a change of status (for the better!)

Does anyone know if Vanderbilt accepts post-secondary and pre-interview updates?

Very, very friendly to updates at any time from my experience at least. They add stuff to your file, whatever you sent. You can include abstracts, papers, etc. as PDFs too.

Rejected pre secondary finally! First rejection and it didn't sting at all. I have to say it was a pretty sterile email, was not the most comforting but I really don't care.

Rejected pre-secondary.

With all the secondary luck I've gotten, I thought I might as well take a chance. I hope the taylor swift school of medicine appreciated my donation and that tag was probably the only reason I applied hahaha

To the people who got rejected: what were your MCAT scores/GPAs? I just got my rejection email too, pre-secondary, and I feel like my scores were at least competitive enough to get me a secondary (although I'm not complaining about them saving me the money). I guess it just kinda stings to realize I wasn't even good enough to make it through the first screening...

rejected but for the best since I don't think I could handle their curriculum

36 MCAT 3.75GPA at grade-deflated school

Rejected pre-secondary. Stats in sig. Added on 8/18 and notified of screening in progress on 8/20. Oh well.

Just got the axe as well, pre-secondary

I've got one of them LizzyM's in the 75-78 range.

Vandy just handed me my first rejection. LizzyM 66-70, good research, etc. My wallet appreciates that they never asked me to pay the secondary fee.

I saw an email from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, and was happily jumping up and down, thinking I had finally gotten a secondary. Nope, rejection.

Rejected presecondary! Still stings I must admit but it's all good >.>b

LizzyM 70

Wow it really was d-day yesterday. Any rejections go out post-secondary and pre-interview?
