2016-2017 Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School Application Thread

Can students from Duke NUS go for a residency in the US? Are there students who do so,who promise to complete the SO after training?
Or can they get a license with the ACGME-I accredition in the US without repeating a residency?Please do reply

1) It is possible for Duke-NUS students to apply for residency in the US. Attending it, however, is on a case-by-case basis and determined by the MOH.
2) There have been students in the past who have successfully completed residency in the states. Remember that 5-year bond you sign to serve in SG though.
3) ACGME-I accreditation does not extend to the USA. You will need to complete the STEP exam in the states and get full accreditation there to practice.

What is your motivation for applying to Duke-NUS? If it is to practice overseas I suggest speaking with the admissions team at Duke-NUS.
