2017-2018 LECOM

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Submitted my application in August and got an email about a week ago to "submit my application"? It was an automated email from admissions with a link to a "personalized" page. Should I be worried? Or did this happen to anyone else?

Double check to see if you have the email about your application being complete. If you find it, I would call admissions to clarify the confusion. If you don't find it, I think you have your answer.

Just accepted less than a week after interview!

My due date for the $1500 deposit is mid January and they say I'll get a drug/alcohol screening due date after I submit the deposit. Does anyone know how long I'll have before I have to take said test? Thanks!

Within a month after you get the matriculation packet. You pick the exact date.

8 weeks since my interview, still no response. Is there a polite way to ask, or should I even? I don't want to sound too annoying and impatient.

I would wait a few more weeks. I work in university administration and very few people actually work through the holidays ( at least the ones that are able to approve anything). I would wait until mid January before reaching out to give them time to catch up after the holidays. I would guess another deposit is coming due in mid January as well so more spots will open up and more decisions would go out then.

Got it. Thank you. ))) Gives me some hope

are rejections also sent in mail ? my status shows that the admissions committee has made a decision and will receive it in mail in 30 days,, so i am worried that could be a rejection or they sent rejections in email ? please and thank you!

Just send an email inquiring about your status!! i dont see it annoying, cause it is stressful.. i just send emails to inquire and i see nothing wrong with that!

at the interview, they told us that all decisions (accept/waitlist/reject) are sent by mail.

How long did it take for portals to change for a decision being made? My interview was about 2 weeks ago so am I just waiting longer due to the holidays?

Varied person to person. Also I would assume a longer wait due to the holidays.

What's the best way to get to Greensburg for a Seton Hill interview?

For people who already interviewed at the Erie campus, how did you get from your hotel to the school? Is there uber/lyft available?

Submitted my secondary way back in August. Any possible reasons why I still haven't heard back yet?

For people who interviewed at LECOM (Erie campus), where did you stay?

If you do Day's Inn they have a free airport shuttle. If you let them know ahead of the time, they can arrange the shuttle to drop you off at the campus too for free (although I did tip the driver).

Out of pure curiosity, I'm wondering if anyone here has had a similar experience with applying to LECOM as I. I was interviewed at LECOM during my first application cycle and was ultimately waitlisted without ever being offered an acceptance from the waitlist. I, again, applied to LECOM for the current application cycle and haven't heard a peep. I just feel like that's strange given my waitlist position the first cycle. Of course, I don't expect that I should have gotten another interview, I was just curious if anyone experience something similar with LECOM.

Exact same thing here, bud. And I improved a couple things in my app. Curious as well.

I have an interview with LECOM Eerie in just over a month. Do you think if I do get accepted, I can put in a campus change request for Bradenton?

Different application completely for that campus.

Has anyone from December 1st interview heard back yet or had a portal status update?

Me too. Waitlisted two years ago and skipped last year to improve my app. This year, I was complete in July, but haven't heard a thing from Erie. I was complete at Bradenton around the same time and interviewed there in September.

Nothing about this process makes any sense.

Exact same scenario, gap between applications and all. I too will never understand this process.

Oh no, I got my decision: waitlisted. I wasn't that upset about it, honestly. I wasn't really impressed by their interview day, and I was accepted at UNE the week before.

I’m waitlist too

Interviewing here in a month - this is my second interview ever - if any of you want to drop some advice, it’d be greatly appreciated!

For the supporting documents that LECOM (Erie) needs prior to interview, how long does it take for all of the check boxes to turn green? It seems like nothing is checked off for me, and my interview is in a few weeks. Should I send them an email?

Won't turn green until around the week of the interview. I believe it also said that in the interview invite email.

How did you all prepare for the interview? What is the format? (Sorry if this was asked already)
