No, Birmingham extended their application deadline until DEC 16, so they probably won't send out interview invites for a while.

I'm not sure. I'm kinda new to this site. What is DM and POI?
No problem! A DM is a direct message. You can send private messages directly to other forum users by using the menu in the upper right corner.

The POI is your professor/person of interest i.e. The professor whose lab you cited as one you'd like to work in in your application.

Hi guys,

good luck to everyone!

I have received an invitation to interview at the University of Tulsa and know that by now all the interview offers should have gone out.

Does anyone know when this is the case for UBC and McGill? That would be very helpful to know.

Thank you!

I have recently been contacted by my POI at UBC for a Skype interview, so I know official invites have yet to go out and probably won't until at least January 2nd (when I've scheduled it for).

Here's my current list:

Degree: PhD
Type: Clinical

Degree: PhD

Which Wisconsin campus?

Also, if you end up interviewing at Louisiana, make sure to ask them why their accreditation is on probation and why the APA chose to keep them on probation after review earlier this year.

I might be wrong, but that might be a good question to ask AFTER you get an offer. That's just really awkward to ask during your interview, in my opinion. It's like asking a mentor who will be up for tenure "so if I get in here and you get canned, what's my plan of action?"

Don't get me wrong... This is an important question. But probably best to ask IF AND ONLY IF you get an interview.

Source: every grad student I've talked too in my lab.

I was be facetious and snarky. Any program that would not openly address such an important subject on their own at the interview without needing the applicants to bring it up should be viewed as suspect.

UW- Madison
UNC - Chapel Hill

Chapel Hill POIs should be going through their longlist now and sending in their shortlist for interview invites within the first 2 weeks of January I think. Actual interview is in February I think(I'm hazy on this one) .

As for LSU still being probation, it is my understanding that is no longer the case. I was planning to ask my POI about it, but I remember it saying somewhere that they now have full accreditation. I suppose I could have imagined it, but I also no longer see any mention of probation on their website.

Application cycle veterans--is it typical to receive a rejection letter if a school isn't interested in having you interview, or are official rejection letters only sent out after an interview with a school when a final decision is being made?
Is no news good news if a school has already sent out multiple invites last month?

Rejection letters are very uncommon, in my experience. Most schools won't contact you if you didn't get an interview until they've officially filled their cohort in April. No news is probably not good news if a school has already sent out interview invites, but it depends on the school, how long it's been since those invites went out, and source of the invites. If the invites came from the DCT or seem to be a mass email sent to all invitees, it is likely no more are forthcoming. On the other hand, if the invites were from individual POIs other than your own, it may be that your POI has yet to send out theirs, especially if it hasn't been very long since the others went out. I just received an invite a few days ago from a POI at a school that I know had at least one POI send out invites before Christmas.
