Anyone interviewing for the Peds Neuro track at Alexian Brothers on 12/15? I got an invite for 1/11 but I already have an interview that day and am hoping to switch!!! I really want Alexian as well as the other site (honestly my #1 and #2 sites, what’re the chances!). Anyone willing to switch?? Thank you #forumfam

That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. So sorry you had to endure that.
 
I open my email and these are both in there...LOVELY

Well, my ego is now in check. I know people who were rejected this morning via mass email so I still had hope. But nope. BCH crushed my hope. This one hurts. A lot. A lot, a lot.

I'm here with you 100% Was catching up on the thread saw the rejections this morning and was like well I made at least to the second round... there is hope! Two rejections in a row on the same email check. UGH But was nice to hear that they had 255 applicants each. Previous years they only interviewed ~40 at CHOP and ~60 at Boston made me feel a little better. It's definitely what I'm holding on to right now.

Thanks. Honestly, though, it was so absurd that it just made me laugh. Granted, it was one of those weird laughs that also sounds like anxious distress... but it was still pretty funny.

You’re right. And I’m so grateful for the interviews I do have! It’s okay - they just weren’t our #wandsite. Have to sit with that one for awhile.

It was sent from Audrey Bascom on behalf of the training directors Amy Jak and Sandy Brown. We were told to contact Audrey with interview preferences, which were confirmed by her about a week later.

Course! Sorry, i got the email and realized my scheduling issue and PANIC ensued! I know it’s last minute to ask for a switch but *fingers crossed*!

12/8 at about 2-ish pm EST
Mass email “INTERN APPLICANT”
They assigned me 1/11 and their handbook only had two dates for Peds neuro: 12/15 and 1/11.

Guys. This is literally the THIRD site for 1/11. Why. I have only gotten four interviews. This literally defies probability. I’ve noticed a lot of my sites have only one interview day which is crazy stressful. NO SANITY.

Oh no they didn't... #denvered. I get a voicemail while I'm away from my phone from a long-distance number. No internship notifications for two days so I'm giddy, nervous, excited.... "Hello, this is the insurance adjustor...." calling about a hit-and-run that happened to me last year. Cherry on top was that after leaving messages with this insurance company for a year with no call-back they seriously said, "So if we don't hear back from you by January 14th we'll assume you don't want to settle the claim". BAH!

Yes, I know of a couple people who got invites to the non-HRSA Child track. Not sure about non-HRSA adult track but I'd guess all those probably went out since all the other tracks also did? (and HRSA had a later app deadline than the others). Hope that helps :/ Sorry if it means a likely rejection for ya 🙁

Can I just say as a 200% NON-morning person, I sooo appreciate any sites that have afternoon interview options! I know I probably shouldn't complain at all since I have a bunch of interviews and feel SO grateful and excited to have them!! Buuuut most of mine start around 8am and it's SO hard for me to even marginally function at that hour, let alone be *on* and interview-ready at 8am 😴 Plus with time zone changes, that also means that a few of those 8am interviews start at 5-7am for my internal body clock :wideyed: :yawn: Please tell me I'm not the only night owl super worried about this?? :owle:

I feel you! The one I had a couple days ago was from 12-4, and that was AMAZING because I got to wake up, enjoy breakfast and then head over to the interview. I have one later in the season where I’m going to get in at like 1 am, and then have to be up at 530 or 6 to get ready for an 8 am interview #dead

I had totally written this off since I saw phone calls went out two days ago!! I'm so excited!!
Interview Dates: there were some early & mid January, but I'm already crazy booked so I only wrote down the ones I could most likely attend (1/16 or 1/19). She mentioned they were flexible too though!
How I'm staying sane: I honestly thought I was done hearing from all sites so this was an amazing end to this process!

"Metal health" hahaha, I love it 😆I'm sure some people use metal as a coping strategy, you can def make a case for that :headphone:

But seriously those sound like really minor typos and I doubt they even noticed them honestly! They're reading dozens of pages of text for *each* applicant so your eyes have to glaze over at some point? No idea about the assessment percentage errors though, not sure how closely those kinda things are looked at or not.

I cannot wait to hear from them!!!! I know they must of had a super tight turnaround reviewing/extending interviews since the app deadline was extended until 12/1. Hoping for positive news for us both!
