Can I just say as a 200% NON-morning person, I sooo appreciate any sites that have afternoon interview options! I know I probably shouldn't complain at all since I have a bunch of interviews and feel SO grateful and excited to have them!! Buuuut most of mine start around 8am and it's SO hard for me to even marginally function at that hour, let alone be *on* and interview-ready at 8am 😴 Plus with time zone changes, that also means that a few of those 8am interviews start at 5-7am for my internal body clock :wideyed: :yawn: Please tell me I'm not the only night owl super worried about this?? :owle:

Hey guys-- sorry I know this is confusing. I was just able to pull up my cover letter, and it's the Pediatric Primary Care/Behavioral Health and School-Based Mental Health Clinic Track (VI) to which I applied and was offered an interview.

There's a countdown clock going I my head...T- minus 10 minutes until normal VA COB...

Tbh, it would be kind of shocking if they sent out notifications at the very last minute like that. I'm betting we'll get them next week ( or possibly over the weekend 😕)
 
Still anxiously waiting to hear from Cambridge Health Alliance Track II (Combined Adult/Child). Waiting for this one is rough, y'all! I'm glad to know that, even if not for the same track, other people on here are in the same boat as me!

Boston Children's has gotten me alllllllllllllllll kinds of dysregulated today, seeing rejections go out at what looked to be multiple different times today but not getting one. This is the last one I'm waiting on (I have a few others I'm assuming are rejections), and I just need to know either way at this point. Like seriously, what fresh hell is this?! Is it commons for sites to send out rejections before invites? And there were 255 applicants at BCH?!?

I need to lay down.

edit: I mean, y'all. I went to the outlet malls today and shopped for several hours and I was constantly checking my email! I'm a pro at shopping but this process has like broken me or something.

I put the wrong site name in one of the places I’m interviewing. I referenced the name multiple times but I put the wrong name in one of the places. And they actually asked me to apply to an additional track because I was qualified for two tracks.

Hahaha I love this - I am glad to hear some people can look beyond this kinda stuff. I hope I will be as lucky. Congrats as well!

I hope those of you who didn’t hear from BCH today get an invite! I swear, that rejection ruined my entire day. Or maybe my day was just destined to be crappy, and that was part of it? Is there a full moon out there?!? Also, shopping is my hobby. So is napping. We’d be great friends, shopping away the stress and obsessively checking our emails.

I was really hoping no one else had noticed. 😛 My site list swayed heavily to sites that recently gained accreditation, but had not yet updated their APPIC directory pages to indicate their new status. :whistle:

I applied to one site like that an hour away lol, the site description on the Appic site was so dicey I had to research to check it was actually accredited. Then they extended their deadline and I haven’t heard back at all 😵hoping lots of people didn’t notice them being accredited lol

It is definitely frustrating and de-energizing to get a rejection, particularly from this site. I was also thinking from the selection

The quality of the answers was questionable but I'm setting the bar low. I appreciate your kind thoughts!! I thought I'd wake up and see an email from them but nope, nothing yet. I guess I'll hear from them soon enough.

ALSO: Had a dream last night that I broke a nail/chipped my nail polish before an interview, so I hailed the first Uber I could find and had them drive like a crazy person to the nearest nail salon. I run in, plop down, and through tears say "it's an emergency!!" a la Elle Woods in Legally Blonde and then I looked around and realized I WAS in THE nail salon from Legally Blonde. Needless to say the dream ended in all of us doing the Bend and Snap.

Congrats on this invite! Nothing from Pace. It really irks me when a site publishes an early deadline then can't meet it and doesn't even update their own website to explain they'll tell us later. (Can you tell I'm stressed?!)

Anyone going for an interview at Emory find a reasonably priced hotel? Prices are crazy from what I'm seeing.

Yes, it can totally be replaced and I've made my peace with it today. It was just so crappy having that happen when I was feeling kind of fragile!

She really just looked caught and like she was waiting to see what I was going to do. Since I was holding my baby, I refrained from the angry yelling I would have otherwise done. Probably for the best...that wouldn't have done anything good either.:shrug:

Thanks for letting me vent about it...it sucked and happened at a crap time. Thank goodness for a new day. 🙂 Now we just watch the clock until next week when the rest of the notifications FINALLY roll in!!!

I can't speak for the situation in Atlanta, but I've really lucked out in finding some really nice Airbnbs super close to a few of my sites. I usually compare the Airbnb and hotel costs, amenities, and distance/convenience to the interview sites when I'm debating between hotel or Airbnb. Always be sure you read the description and reviews thoroughly, and ask questions of the hosts if you have them/need clarification on something, but this might be a cheaper alternative to hotels.
