I apologize if I was incorrect- my parent works there and called me to tell me that but I should have checked their information online first!

Current students, what is aecom like now with Westchester undergoing a containment procedure?
Hasn't changed anything. I already mentioned what precautions Einstein is currently taking a few posts back but if you want to stay updated there's a whole webpage devoted to it: Coronavirus | Intranet | Albert Einstein College of Medicine

Well, it’s official - Second look has been cancelled due to COVID-19. They also just sent the health clearance forms - unrelated but amusing nonetheless!

Can any current student comment on the MD, MS (CRTP) dual degree program?
I haven't done it but I've been considering it (I'm an M2 and you apply for the program during M3) and have spoken with some upperclassmen who have done it. You take the masters year between 3rd and 4th years, and you also have to have a faculty mentor and be working on research (there is a manuscript requirement) while completing the masters coursework. The coursework is things like biostats, epidemiology, research ethics. The nice thing is it's a tuition free year (Einstein only charges you for 4 years of tuition even if you take a research year/do a masters program). All the people I know who have done the program have done so because they were applying to highly competitive specialties and wanted a research year to build their resume for residency, and this is a more productive route than a normal research year (though it is possible to do that at Einstein as well with a $16k stipend). If you want to do a competitive specialty or match at a big academic center and need lots of research it's a great program.

Are there still a lot of folks who haven't heard anything pre-II? I'm wondering if it's a good thing that I'm still in silence, or if they're just staggering these Rs...Pre II R! Good luck to all in the running still 🙂

Yes, but it was held by the office of diversity, so they may have only invited underrepresented / minority studentsThere was a second look day? Did we get an email?

Thank you so much for your input!! May I PM you to ask a few questions regarding the program?
I doubt it- mine was supposed to be today and when i reached out about being willing to do a virtual interview they basically said they’d have more info eventually so I think they’ll communicate as they make decisions :/I have an interview on April 24th...even though it's still a while away, do you think it's worth asking if it's possible it will be a remote/video interview?

I interviewed back in mid February and today I received an invite for a second interview via Zoom (virtually). Has this happened to anyone?
Maybe they're using you as a guinea pig for their remaining interview, only slightly kidding
I definitely didn’t. I’m def confused.Did you expesss dissatisfaction w your interviewer in the survey etc? Or maybe they’re confused?
Their website interview page says in certain cases they will invite people for a second interview...maybe they are debating over you?I definitely didn’t. I’m def confused.
I vaguely recall them saying on interview day that updates should be sent directly in an email, rather than as an attachment. Can someone confirm?

From what I can tell from this and last year's thread, I think later interviews still could get As without being put on the HPWL/WL first. They would just get it after seats open up, in the same waves that HPWLs turn to AsAre acceptances still going out or is the 'rolling admissions status' the only positive status until april? Also, when do those hpwl/rolling statuses usually turn to As?
I haven’t heard anything since I was complete a long time ago.Are there still a lot of folks who haven't heard anything pre-II? I'm wondering if it's a good thing that I'm still in silence, or if they're just staggering these Rs...
Placed on HPWL last week. Interviewed late Feb. Really hope this evolves into an A!

I have yet to submit anything (nor do my 2019 taxes lol), so merit and need must be totally separate processescongrats!! how soon after submitting everything did you hear back?
My interview was re-scheduled as a virtual interview on zoom today!
last time people were talking about interviews people said they wouldn't be filling entire class by that time so we would still be interviewing for acceptances and not just a waitlist spot?
Ahh when were you supposed to interview? And when was it rescheduled to? I didn’t get anything 🙁

I interviewed here a couple of weeks ago. I'm wondering if decisions will continue to be delivered in a timely manner given all of the covid-19 stuff. Any ideas?

Did you respond to the email that indicated rescheduling or did they just send you an email to reschedule after the initial email that they sent about the moratorium?
That's tough :/ In the same vein, anyone else yet to hear anything Pre-II since the complete email? lolanyone hear back post II lately? getting antsy even though I know it’s a tough time rn

Yes!Did anyone get a reply after sending in an update letter post-ii?
Oops sorry, I did not respond to the email that indicated rescheduling. The email said they would try to re-schedule for the same day/time as initial in person interview, but haven't heard back yet.Did you respond to the email that indicated rescheduling or did they just send you an email to reschedule after the initial email that they sent about the moratorium?
I figured since they said they would be working on scheduling the zoom interviews, I would just wait...I think unless you reply saying i've already been accepted to a school/ don't want to interview, they will re-schedule you
I did not, I sent mine yesterdayDid anyone get a reply after sending in an update letter post-ii?
AMCASTuesdays
