I believe decisions don't release until February, so you have a good chunk of time.

(current student here) Yes, they like to hear updates! But wouldn't do more than 1-2, and if you don't have much to say/report on, I would hold off until January. If you have had a paper published or have something else you think impacts your file, email sooner. If you're just reiterating your interest I would recommend holding off a bit.

not really sure i know what that means, if that "adds" to your perspective/connection to einstein sure? If this is just something you're adding to your CV then no? Your judgement

Check your spam box or give them a call. The deadline for the secondary was 10/15, but if its a technical error there might be a chance!

I've been wondering this too. I heard it's good practice to send it 1-2 months after you interview, but other people are saying January. I interviewed in September and was thinking about sending one today. Are we just supposed to email the admissions office?

if you feel strongly about sending something now, do it!
Yes update/intent/thank you letters etc should all go to admissions office and they add it to your file

Idk my rule of thumb is write an update wrapped in a letter of interest, and send it (unless the schools does not accept them). What do you have to lose? They wont reject you cuz of that, and maybe it might help one adcom person to put you a little higher on the list. I personally emailed mine

update letters are not the same as letters of intent. Update letters are an expansion of continued letters of interest, however it incorporates new updates to activities that you feel are important for admissions to know. Intent letters state that if accepted, you will attend that school. That's why you should only send an intent letter to one school. However, it isn't 100% binding bc I know some people who sent intent letters but didn't attend that school due to numerous reasons.

Who should we address letters of intent to? I can see on their website that Noreen Kerrigan is the Associate Dean of Admissions, but I was told in a previous email to send updates to Ms. Dina Nardi. Is that still the case now that the update portal is open?
