2024-2025 Einstein

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I have most of this secondary complete, I am wondering if its worth submitting since I have two issues. I am not close with my mother and she went to a different country so I do not know when and where she attended her education, and I am very non-trad and graduated undergrad 10 years ago and do not have a LOR from a major/undergrad professor would I just be wasting money sending this secondary?

Anyone know what Einstein's Interview-to-acceptance rate is? Do you think they are interviewing more people (and thus selecting from a larger pool) this year to really hone in on mission fit?

i submitted my secondary 7/18 and am just now realizing i never got the "EINSTEIN - Application Complete" email... all my documentation should've been received already, i have no idea what's missing since i haven't heard anything else back from them at all. they said "not to call the office unless it's absolutely necessary because it will delay the process" but i should email them right??? kind of really panicking now

yep they're in a letter packet compiled by a pre-health committee, and i haven't had any other issues with the same letter packet submitted to other schools 😭😭 feel so stupid for not noticing this until now

i know they say each application should be reviewed within 8 weeks. does that mean they should tell us something by the 8 week mark?

Are there any current students here that would be willing to answer some questions? Im interviewing on 9/16 so would love some insight about ur experience!

Has anyone received confirmation after submitting applicant agreement form? I submitted it but did not receive confirmation. The warning that they will cancel your interview if you don't submit it by Friday is scaring me...

I didn't get one and nothing happened by the end of the week. You should be fine!

I emailed them directly to ask if they received it, didn't get an email or anything.

I just got an email that says my interviewer’s name and other zoom info

so the earliest you’ll get a decision is March 1st? Seems kind of late doesn’t it?

Hi! Can anyone give any insight on the interview day? My previous interviews had pretty extensive Zoom information sessions, but it looks like it is just a 1 hour interview and student information session at 4:30. Is this correct or am I missing something?

That is how they do it. It's open file and was actually pretty short.

My interview was 30 mins with 15 minutes of me asking questions................
Mine was similar, but about 45 minutes.

It was open file and they didn't ask any ridiculous questions or make it into an inquisition. To be honest, I don't see the point of those questions. Either someone has appropriate social skills, a personality, makes eye contact, and seems genuine or they don't. If you can't tell from someone's application and a 30 minute interview if someone is a good fit, you're not going to figure it out in an hour or 2. Certainly not by asking them what kind of tree they would be.

I get why some schools like MMI as it in theory puts all candidates on equal footing, but that's not true anyway. Not every candidate starts on the same step and most applicants have studied all the ethics for MMI and have taken Casper.

so you think it's okay?
