If you interviewed 9/12, did you hear back on 10/15 or no? It seems like some did and some didn’t, wondering if it had to do with when people did their campus selection?

I interviewed then, heard back (dd) on the 15th. Seems like majority of the ppl that heard back were dd

Same here, in-state and interviewed the same day. If they do monthly releases, I suppose we'll hear back in November.

I’m collecting data about interviews/campus selection/decisions, but if I were to guess, you’ll hear in the next decision wave. The trends from previous years is sometimes people from the same interview date hear back on different months, and I think(?) it may be due to campus selection times

I answered this earlier in the thread, just pasting that answer here:

It’s not a soft rejection. UVM doesn’t waitlist til the spring. DD is basically a post II hold, they’re just holding on to your interview and will get back to you with another decision at further decision days. A LOT of people get an A after DD. If you look at previous SDN subs, a lot of ppl would get an A the month after their DD. Per UVM’s website, “A candidate who is placed in Delayed Decision (DD) status has been reviewed by the committee without a final decision. Candidates in the DD status will be presented to the committee in subsequent meetings until a decision, accepted or waitlisted, has been made. While this status may be disappointing in the beginning, it is a temporary status. The reason for the DD status is to allow us to pace our seat offerings so that every candidate has a fair chance of being considered for a spot in the class.” So basically, don’t be discouraged.

I would say no, unless there has been a significant change in your daily life. Maybe someone else can confirm, but I thought they did not really want letters of intent? I can't remember, to be honest.

I didn't recall they said they don't want letters of intent (I didn't recall anything...), I honestly feel their admission office is the nicest/quickest admission office I've ever been interacting with. I feel no matter whatever you sent them, they will for sure get back to you (say, thanks for your email/update etc) the next day. But I doubt how much it will impact the decision. I would probably immediately send the love email to them if I receive a DD in Nov; but before that I don't know what to say.

No. I think it might be because it took me close to two weeks to make my campus selection. Interviewed 8/29

I believe I did my selection within 5 days or so. I'm doubtful thats the reason, but its impossible to understand the process.

Thank you! I sent a specific "Application update" letter to the AMP portal (just wrote in Word and uploaded it). It was not a letter of intent, although I did mention my enthusiasm for continuing my research interests through their program. I did not send any other email reminder or anything, just uploaded in the AMP portal.
