I like how you only posted the last 3 seconds of that video, because that's about as much of it I wanted to watch.
I remember watching his "how to hire an associate video" and thinking no one has ever said so little in so much time.I like how you only posted the last 3 seconds of that video, because that's about as much of it I wanted to watch.
Common man FABI alone surpasses all that other nonsense like implants and a metatarsal osteotomy named after him even ortho foot and ankle mention/use.Lowell Scott Weil's achievements and contributions to the profession are not to be understated, even if his silastic implants don't stand up over time.
Jr on the other hand...
is this podiatry's biggest success story? how much do these associates make?
Yah this might make the midsize city market more difficult. You can always try to open where bears live.....doubt they tap that market. What's the point of the growth and expansion he is talking about there? Basically, to become a large corporation chain like Heartland dental or Aspen Dental? Podiatry jobs and salaries suck already. At least you can create your own jobs at this point in some locations. With growing corporations like this basically you will be forced to take a job with them and get low compensation.
Since you asked nicely here are 5 of the more recent job postings onlinecan someone post actual job postings? lol
DPM Grad: “Where do I apply? Oh wait...” 😑This is job posting for a "Wound Care Podiatry PA/NP"

•

Sadly this is better than many job opportunities for ACTUAL podiatrists
I laughed out loud when I read your post. Other than the self serving APMA people involved, what causes you to have that opinion. BTW, I don’t disagree, though I do know a few good docs who sold to them.Upperline is full of scumbags. Steer clear, but if it’s your only opportunity, then take it.
I know of someone who’s the most ethical podiatrist on earth who got screwed over. That person was “let go” due to lies made up by “management “. And yes, that scumbag former Apma president is part of the managing team.I laughed out loud when I read your post. Reword this as most podiatry associate positions are trash, Steer clear, but if it’s your only opportunity, then take it.Upperline is full of scumbags. Steer clear, but if it’s your only opportunity, then take it.

Maybe someone who is within a few years of retiring but isn't quite ready to stop working yet? Ahem...If it paid more I’d be interested. It wouldn’t be bad for a starter job but I don’t know who has been practicing for 5 years that would be interested.

Actually, this part would suck donkey ****

I wonder what part of Portland? Probably smack dab in the middle of the worst part I bet.It does sound like nail jail. But there are still more podiatrists than there are good jobs. So $200k salary, $42k in employer contributions to a retirement account while working, and a pension upon retirement won’t be a tough sell for a lot of people, regardless of what the work actually is.

They probably will but the pay sucks for the COL. I love Portland.I had an amazing trip to Portland in 2010. Hiked Mount Hood. Kayaked. Saw endless waterfalls in little parks off the side of the road.
I assume this is how Natch lives every day.
Based on my past experience 13 years ago I can only assume Portland is now the coolest place ever and people should be tripping overthemselves for this job.
I was hoping to trigger people into going on a rant about the homeless 😉They probably will but the pay sucks for the COL. I love Portland.
That is very much an Oregon experience. I'm still amazed by it even after living here 20+ years.I had an amazing trip to Portland in 2010. Hiked Mount Hood. Kayaked. Saw endless waterfalls in little parks off the side of the road.
My daughters both go to college in Eugene right now. They have a homelessness problem like many bigger cities and I've read that they're the bike theft capital of the nation. My eldest daughter had two bikes stolen on campus within the first two months of living there. Nonetheless, the forested areas surrounding Eugene are beautiful. I took a walk through a local park, sat in the rhododendron garden and watched a flock of wild turkeys stroll right past me.I was hoping to trigger people into going on a rant about the homeless 😉
My dad kept getting work assignments near Eugene and every time I'd ask him about it he'd go on about it being the meth capitol of the world or something like that.
You should get a pet turkey, they are awesome and super friendly. Our Tom has certainly taken a liking to my wife though... How funny, a turkey pet! This is our first year as empty nesters so I'm avoiding getting any pets (don't want the responsibility) for now but I'll have to keep turkeys in mind! 🤓You should get a pet turkey, they are awesome and super friendly. I used to have a tarantula collection in high school.Well when you consider that I am only seeing 25 to 35 patients a week across 2 days of clinic ....I have time for pets. Continuing with my track record of getting paid more than I produce. Currently 2 turkeys, 8 chickens, 2 babydoll sheep then 2 dogs and 5 tarantulas (wife's) inside.

Sounds like a good gig. This maybe is a legit reason to do a fellowship? Unfortunately places will start requiring fellowship trained.....There are just a handful of these jobs every year publicly advertised. And they have a current pod, trained under Fleming. Notice how they left out trauma...is he staying or are you taking what he doesn't want?Podiatric Foot & Ankle Surgeon With Orthopaedic Practice

I am very familiar with this practice/job posting and it is odd trauma is left out of the posting. This job has always gone to Fleming grads as this is a high trauma position out of Redding, PA. So get ready to deal with a tough patient population and you'll never really be an owner. The person is leaving for personal reasons and not on account of the position being bad.Sounds like a good gig. This maybe is a legit reason to do a fellowship? Also noteworthy, fellowship training is increasingly a requirement to be considered for surgical positions. In other words, it's the same 2-tier training as there was 20 years ago with PMS24 and PMS36 programs, now with an extra year added in! Podiatry ever forward!
