Hi! New to the forum. But I had submitted my AMCAS application some time ago and received my verified report on Friday. I noticed my cGPA was a lot lower (by .12) than my school GPA (which uses the same scoring as AMCAS, with all of the +/- increments, etc.). Of interest, I noticed that the cumulative hours for undergrad came out to be 24 hours short of the hours I added up for all of my undergraduate classes. I believe they had classified those 24 hours (about 6 classes, 4 hours/credits each) into my graduate GPA instead because I had started a progressive degree (dual bachelor/master program) in my senior year.
Would this have any bearing on how my GPA would be re-calculated and if so, should I notify all the schools I applied to or does AMCAS do it for me??
